That's my plan for this round (Salem -> Garlett, already had Hogan). I'd be more comfortable with Hogan performing to the level you want regularly if you're only going with one.
Taking Hogan this week. Will wait on Garlett. If he backs up, Salem to Garlett next week.

Garlett is enticing at 260k if he's starting in the middle at stages again this week. Roos tends to rotate people through there a lot.

Hogan's the no-brainer out of the two. Who are you dropping?

Only considering moving on him this week since I want to get Rich in too, and need to dump Goodes for that to happen, so have to move on one early or not at all. Hopefully Beveridge makes my call for me, if Goodes' JS is as dodgy as people are saying.

Dusty.

Call me nuts, but he looked all wrong the other night. Wasn't moving freely at all and couldn't run. There's something going on there.

Dusty to Hogan frees up 420k. Cripps to Rich leaves me six Premos in the midfield (GAJ, Fyfe, Wines, Danger, Griffen, Rich) and 278k in the bank and option next week to go Salem to Garlett and either Goodes or Ibbo to Docherty. Wouldn't mind Griffen to Treloar TBH but I'll weigh that up next week.

The net improvement in my team structure makes the loss of Dusty acceptable.

Wow, big call. Only had half an eye on the match so I'll take your word for it. If he still looks proppy next week, I'll find it hard to resist bringing Swan in.

Anyway, you'll be laughing if he keeps spudding it up. ~40% ownership IIRC.

Yep, it's a massive call, but I feel the long term benefits are worth it. I just don't like the structure I have at the moment.

Stuffed around with my team too much in the days leading up to the season starting. Had I have gone in with what I had this time last week I would have been a lot happier.

Lessons to be learnt there; three months planning > last minute doubts.

This is a great idea, and won't backfire at all

I still can't decide whether to get Swan or Bonts.

Swan has the runs on the board and Bonts is playing in a team that will loose more often than win and will get tagged alot.

However Bonts was impressive against West Coast.

I'm still burnt from Swan last year but he SHOULD play midfield permenantly now and none of this forward sh1t due to no Beams.

I think you're going way too early on Dusty. He'll end up top 6 forward. Patience my friend.

Garlett looked good but take into account the opposition. Will he hold up vs better defensive structures? He'll get bashed in the mids against the big boys.

He was ordinary at carlton. Will be better at Melbourne but not enough to warrant a trade after one great score.

I'd be more concerned with Griffen tbh. Really like the Treloar option. It crossed my mind too but I'll hold off one more week.

Hogan>Garlett.
Hold Dusty
Downgrade premo ruck if poor scores continue & upgrafe defender.

Yeah me too mate.

You'd want both of them in your team eventually. :thumbsu:

Think I might go with Bonts first just cause he's $40k cheaper and I can use those funds to upgrade Goodes > Hunt next week if need be.

Like I said in the trades thread even I wouldn't trade out Dusty after one bad game and that's saying something as I have him too.

I had a 4am Sunday brain fade and brought in Griffin at M5 (don't know what I was thinking) Griffen is just going to get tagged every freaking week, I'm worried about that.

That's what you get for overthinking things and messing around with your team though the rolling lockout.

He's gone for Wines this week though who I have had in and out of my pre season team.

That kid is going to be a star!

I shuffled deck chairs around on the weekend and came up with $392,000 in the kitty so going Lamb to Bonts or should I go Lonnie?

Lamb might have good job security and not be the sub anymore now that Browns gone for a while.

Hard to say which rookie. Wait for teams n see who's starting. Bonts will be a good addition.

I know you'll laugh but Zorko might be a good one to consider. Rocky injury gives him more midfield time according to coach.

LOL!

Man I still have nightmares over Zorko and Roughead.

Can't bare myself to bring them into my team, even Swan I am still getting over burning me bigtime last year.

Garlett has never been consistent. He used to play up the ground on occasion at Carlton as well. Even in his best SC year (2013) where he averaged 78 from 20 games and scored 6 tonnes, he had 6 scores under 48.

Just sayin' be prepared for 30-50 scores every second week if you jump on that rollercoaster.

Docherty vs Geary vs Mcdonald vs Adcock?

Watts vs Lynch vs Lycett?

Disregard price as this is for a draft league.

Lewis vs Pendlebury vs Wines to replace Rocky?

Wouldn't mind the cash if I have to pull the trigger on Cripps/Salem after next week so leaning towards Wines if it's cash generation. Assuming I wanted a Super Premium rather than a downgrade would people go Lewis or Pendles?

Currently have GAJ/Rocky/Gray/Danger/Griffen/Wallis/Vandenberg/Heeney (Cripps/CEY/Anderson)

Cheers in advance lads!
