Taking into account price differences.
Rance v Docherty v Laird

Anybody think Docherty or Laird could be top 10 defenders by end of season?
Docherty yes, Laird No.

Laird is going OK now, but I cant see him holding this form for long. Docherty I can see maintaining.

Laird, I do think he can be a top 10 defender this season. With the way Adelaide are playing and using Laird he has much more potential than Rance (Who will get poor scores at time due to having to shut down KPFs) and Docherty who I think won't maintain form.

This is just my opinion though, not any facts or evidence behind. Best way to go with these situations is your gut.

Hmmm. Haven't seen enough of either Laird or Docherty to have a gut feeling. Guess I'll make a last minute panic decision instead.

Who to bring in out of Heeney and Hogan (Can only bring one in due to Ablett trade)

Im usually not sold on rookie bigs, which is why I never had Hogan to start but he's had a great start. Heeney might cop the vest every now and then, and might lose his spot in one of the better sides in the comp (unless Swans fans can tell me if hes a permanent fixture in the team) cheers.
Get Heeney and Hogan.

Deal with GAJ next week. His value won't be changing.

This is my dilemma too. Wish I went Lewis over Watson to start with, would have made this choice much easier.
Ive been thinking of the spare cash and ive never used Lewis before. I've already got two Swans players (Except JPK) so i might try Lewis.

I don't get the love for Lewis. Before last years 109 average he had never averaged better than 96 in his previous 9 seasons. And even last year he was averaging only 94 after 11 games. Yes he had an awesome 2nd half to the season & a super 1st 2 games so far this year, but for 588k I'd be wanting someone who has a ultra-premium scoring history of more than a dozen games.

He was never really the most prolific midfielder at the Hawks. Now he is. Most prolific mid from the best team is generally a lock for ultra-premo averages.

I tend to agree. Have had him in my side a few times this week and I just can't bring myself to keep him there. His sample size of very good scoring is small as you say, but it is growing. I had a look at his numbers the other night and I think it was something like an average of 118 or 119 from the last 17 games. So on that they are premium numbers, but can he keep it up? I definitely prefer players with a history of very high scoring as opposed to speculating and this one just has spec written all over it I reckon. He will still score well so it wouldn't be a disaster anyway, but I'm just not sure he can keep those numbers up. He does play for Hawthorn though, so that's another tick as they will be winning plenty of games. It's doing my head in :)

Looking at dropping T. Mitchell for one of the following

Coniglio vs Rischitelli vs B. Crouch (out for 5-6 weeks)

I'm in a draft league and im looking for a mid to sit on my bench. Need backup due to Gaz's injury.

Thoughts?

I read the first two lines and fell off my chair, before bringing myself to continue and make sense of the situation with the 3rd line.

I'd probably take Rischitelli.

Crouch may come back and injure himself again, just seems like the type, and Risch seems to be in the best form of the 3.

My head hurts reading this.

How much spare cash have you got?
Haha NO! This is Joel Selwood you are talking about right?

You cannot trade him out and trade him back in next week, that's a waste of 2 trades!

Maybe post your whole team.
Haha sorry guys

This is my team. I have 8k in bank now. If i did Gaz and Selwood down to Lewis/Fyfe I would be able to upgrade neale to any mid under 620k including selwood next week.. this is of course a waste of a trade but i am rather happy with fwd/backline.. Ruck is an issue but Mids make up for 1 crappy ruck imo.

Are people seriously thinking of trading out Selwood? Just scored 110 after a quiet round 1. Is he injured? What am I missing?
