Amidst all the talk of players losing weight...Frost and Goldsack look to have bulked up considersbly.

I think Goldy will play the Maxy role this year as he can also play on a man
I was thinking the exact same thing. I suspect he has bulked up to play the third tall/Maxy role. I think you need someone of his experience to take on this role. All the alternatives lack experience. Added advantage is he can hoof the ball some distance which can see quick transition from defence to attack.

Brown SMASH. Hulking right up.

We tend to be pretty pessimistic about our backbone but I don't think it's looking all that shabby TBH
The spine is actually ok at full strength when you consider we have brown, keeffe, swan, pendlebury, reid and Cloke.

Its just inexperience and lack of depth through the middle which will hold us back

I agree and hope they do. I've been thinking that for some time and think it allows for a more attacking option like PK up front.

Hopefully by the time we get back from NZ the modified training group is much slower. I'm going to be in Melbourne on Friday so I'm very annoyed my commitment is in the morning rather than the afternoon. I'd love to have a look at the training beast Nathan Freeman first hand

I might miss some players as i was/am going to try do this off the top of my head.

Best 22

M.Williams - Keefe - N.J.Brown

Toovey - Frost - Langdon -

Sidebottom - Swan - Seedsman

Broomhead - Reid - Adams

Elliot - Cloke - Grundy

Witts - Greenwood - Pendlebury

I think the last 4 spots will be made up of B.Kennedy, J.Thomas, Blair, Fasolo, Scharanberg, Freeman, Varcoe

I think you guys will lean towards youth and probably the better players now in Kennedy, Freeman, Scharanberg types if they perform in NAB. Would like to see you give Kennedy a best 22 spot this year think he will really come on if hes doing the PS work. Seems you will have a very defensive back 50 again, think you guys miss Shaw, i initally had Seedsman off halfback for some run but couldnt leave any of the 3 small defendeers out.
