coulda: "where is sylvia? is he injured?"
source: "be here around 10am" *truck drives by and drowns the words*
coulda: "right, round 10" *writes it down*
I repeat that my information was from Fremantle 2 assistant coaches . It was not idle conversations with other football watchers or a rumour mill .
Yes he has gained weight but he has re injured the same ankle that he had surgery on .
Barlow would be saying what the Club wants him to say but the assistants where quite clear and straight forward .
I will also remind you all of previous injury lists the Club has put on the web site saying that a player was X weeks away and in most cases we had to wait many weeks after that time before the named player was taken off the list so please don't just accept that officially released information is 100% the actual case .

I reckon you've been set up for a laugh.

Would anyone else be appalled if we had assistant coaches passing on information to random training observers that is totally different from what the club may have instructed the likes of Barlow to promote? And then this carefully concealed information is posted on the best known football forum. I mean seriously, it is "heads will roll" type of stuff.

I've been going to training sessions for a long time now and have never been told any info what so ever by the trainers.
Plenty of gossip from the other watchers though.

One of the things we celebrate in the club's current incarnation is the professionalism at all levels. It would be a real shift in the wrong direction to be shooting the breeze to the fans about club intelligence.

Keeping Intel secret is not really Fremantle's thing though is it. How many other teams let people park inside their ground walk over to the fence and say g'day to the players as they jog past?

That is true but isn't exactly the same as trainers and or coaches telling people confidential player info.
I asked Jason Webber at the last S&C session before Christmas if Col Sylvia was out there running today and got the bare answer, "No".
I pressed on, " Is he in the rehab group and got, "yeah".
Hardly expansive replies. But, that's about the extent of it.

For some traIning staff to state in early January, a player won't play til RD 10, it reeks of an in house joke. Especially when said player is running around and kicking comfortably.
I mean, he could contract Ebola and be dead and buried before Rd10.

They clearly stated their draft intentions, picking mids over talls - it was just no one believed them.

Access to the ground is not something they control is it? i thought that was one of the minor drivers for a move to Cockburn.

didn't we already ascertained that coulda was bondy? :p
harves , thank you .
I've also been accused of having too much front . How about the one when I sat on the bench talking to players ,coaches and officials at a Peel game ,Blue Steel oval .Talking to the umpires coach after the game at the Show Grounds .
Yea I'm real sorry for getting too close and fronting up to Bondy about Mayne coming back too soon last year and talking to Simon E about throwing cricket balls at Taberner to soften his hand .
You will have to forgive me but I want to know and what's better than asking the people that are in know .
Others go to training to watch .I want to watch but ask questions as well .

Just be mindful, they may occasionally piss in your pocket.
