Watch it all come crashing down in 2015....you heard it here first, only from GG, a man ahead of his time...

In '14 Le'Veon Bell's 854 receiving yds, 826 yds after the catch & 29 forced missed tackles on catches were PFF era (2007) highs for a RB.

Seriously, you can't pick them. Many thought Cam Newton would bust, :( , but everyone has thought Mariota will bust. PERHAPS we see another example of everyone getting it wrong, how to pick a QB...

--------

Marcus Mariota has now gone four straight practices without throwing an interception.

The Tennessean has Mariota at 49-of-73 in combined drills and as the only quarterback in camp not to get picked off. Fantasy owners should be tracking the No. 2 overall pick's progress closely as unique legs provide a high weekly statistical floor.

Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie said the team could have interest in free agent DT Tony McDaniel.

McDaniel was released by the Seahawks on Sunday in a cost-cutting move. The Raiders will be one of at least a few teams interested, especially given their cap space and the presence of former Seattle assistant Ken Norton Jr. as their defensive coordinator.

The Miami Herald calls rookie RB Jay Ajayi "a bit of a disappointment so far."

The physical Ajayi should look better once the serious hitting gets going at camp. It's also possible his head is simply swimming right now as he goes through his first real NFL practices. But for now, it sounds like the Dolphins are seeing why Ajayi was still available in the fifth round of the draft. Meanwhile, the coaching staff is talking up an increased workload for Lamar Miller.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Arian Foster (groin surgery) will "almost certainly" begin the year on injured reserve/designated to return.

Rapsheet labels Foster's injury "major," while the Houston Chronicle has deemed it "severe." I.R./return dictates that players miss at least the first eight weeks of the season. With Houston on bye for Week 9, Foster wouldn't be eligible to make his debut until Week 10. The trio of Alfred Blue, Jonathan Grimes and Chris Polk will now try to formulate a committee in Foster's absence, but outside help is almost certainly on the way.

Jameis Winston was intercepted three times on his first five passes during a team blitz period Monday.

The highly aggressive Winston loves trying to fit balls into tight windows, as evidenced by his 18 interceptions in 13 games at Florida State last year. We wouldn't consider it a bad thing from a fantasy perspective. Winston won't be afraid to chuck jump balls to his vertically-imposing trio of Mike Evans, Vincent Jackson and Austin Seferian-Jenkins.

Good night. Top draft pick coming up. Did a groin last season although minor, but soft tissue injuries are getting too regular.

And Clowney's dad charged with attempted murder!

If I were the Texans HC, I'd have JJ Watt in all goalline situations with the aim of getting him 10 offensive touchdowns this year.
Get him that MVP he's been robbed of!
Hell, he couldn't be any worse than Ryan Mallett or Brian Hoyer could he? :D

Play him some QB as well. 1 passing, rushing and receiving TD should be the goal.

some perspective from David Climer of the Tennessean

Let's tap brakes on Marcus Mariota bandwagon
Marcus Mariota missed an open receiver in practice the other day. He botched a handoff in another practice.
I swear. I saw both with my own two eyes.
I raise these points because somebody needs to tap the brakes on the runaway Mariota bandwagon. The guy’s human. He hasn’t single-handedly rescued the Titans franchise just yet. Can we wait a couple of weeks before naming him MVP of Super Bowl 50?
Look, I’m not trying to be the bad media cop here. I think it’s great that Titans fans finally have some valid reason for optimism. And from what I’ve seen, Mariota has a chance to be good, perhaps very good, perhaps great.
In four days of training camp workouts, he’s already making reads and throws that are far beyond his years. He is far, far, far, far ahead of where Vince Young and Jake Locker were in their formative days with the organization.
But let’s not get carried away. Someone breathlessly reported that Jameis Winston had thrown three interceptions in one practice at Tampa Bay while Mariota has thrown zero picks in four practices with the Titans. Clearly, one is a draft bust and the other a draft triumph, right?
I might also point out that Mariota has completed 49 of 73 passes in seven-on-seven and team drills. His 67.1 completion percentage would have tied for third among NFL starting quarterbacks last season … if you could project training camp stats from one year into regular season stats from the previous year.
See where I’m headed? It’s a little premature to commission a bust of Mariota for Canton. It’s a disservice to someone who won’t turn 22 until the seventh game of his first NFL season. Give him a little room to breathe and time to grow.
Much of the Mariota Mania is due to situations beyond his control. The Titans wouldn’t have been in position to draft him at No. 2 overall if they hadn’t been so utterly lousy last season.
And while the 2-14 record of 2014 was rock bottom — at least we can hope it was rock bottom — this franchise has had only one winning season since 2008. It has been through two coaching changes since then. Fan interest had sunk to an all-time low.
In comes the reigning Heisman Trophy winner and suddenly all’s right with the world. I get it.
“After a tough year and a tough offseason, there are some nice, positive things going on,” said Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt.
Yes, but there are miles to go. All you bandwagon-hoppers need to get ready for a bumpy ride. Quarterbacks find plenty of potholes in their rookie seasons. Factoid: Peyton Manning threw 28 interceptions as an NFL rookie in 1998. Somehow, he survived.
Frankly, you want some turbulence. That’s how you find the true measure of your quarterback. That’s the next step for Mariota. How will he respond to the first sack, the first fumble, the first interception?
“There are going to be some rough patches because he’s a rookie quarterback,” Whisenhunt said. “What you worry about is how he will handle it — his mental perspective.
“I don’t sense that he’s a fragile guy at all. From a couple of situations we’ve put him in, it seems like he handles them very well.”
If so, that will serve him well.
“Not only as a quarterback but as a football player at any position, you need to have a short memory — good and bad,” said Titans tight end Anthony Fasano, a 10-year pro. “I think he’s done a good job with that.”
To his credit, Mariota seems unaffected by all the adoration. After winning the Heisman Trophy and playing in the national championship game for Oregon last season, he is no stranger to fan adoration and media attention. He doesn’t seek the spotlight but he doesn’t hide from it either.
In sum, Mariota appears to have all the necessary ingredients to make it big as an NFL quarterback. He just needs one more thing:
Time.
