Better than Sandgate, UQ and Surfers I would think (with best 22), west magpies would be in strife too. They have some seriously good top end talent. Their magoos got toweled up by UQ so maybe depth would be an issue? Not sure why people believe though that a comp above must have every side better than the best side in the comp below - just doesn't happen at local level.
I think they beat Mt Gravatt in a practice match last year as well?

Agreed. But over a long season, depths comes into play and while their best might beat a few of these sides - over a season I wouldn'tt hink Mayne would finish above anyone other than Sandgate or UQ on the ladder unless they get an absolute charmed injury run.

did anyone see the NEAFL minidraft, Morningside forced to send juniors to other clubs because they had too many !! QAFL punishing a club that develops their own and encourages them to go elsewhere to improve their footy. A frightening message for Qld football !!!

Which players were forced to go to a different club? Agreed that no ex morningside player should ever be forced to play for a different QAFL club, disgraceful if that's what has happened.

This was always going to be a problem with a re-structure Morningside are too strong for the QAFL. We await for the next restructure in the next couple of years.

Not sure they are too strong bc they go around recruiting blokes from everywhere else 2010. If it is a case of juniors coming thru then surely this is what should be encouraged. I think in the next 5 years there will be an evening out of these juniors anyway as M'Side have come back into the 2nd tier along with a number of others. BUT they obviously run a great junior program and more importantly keep these kids playing with them all the way thru to senior footy. Many clubs have a good junior program but cannot, for various reasons, keep their kids at their footy club past 16's and maybe Colts.
If there are Colts players who came to M'Side this year to play Colts and there are too many anyway then that is fair enough - if they are boys who have played at least 2 seasons with them and being told to move on then that is unfair.
