Too bad if ex Afl player wants a run in the 2's or not he has to play by the coaches instructions hes no bigger than the others in his team, if anything he should lead by example

SMY I am assuming you watched Maroochy play Aspley on the weekend, seemed a tight game followed the scores on the web. Aspley got an early jump, then fell away a bit assuming Maroochy found their feet a bit and got ahead a bit then Aspley came back then Maroochy finished them off. What are your thoughts on Aspley?
Yeah they were solid Tiger - there was a bit of a breeze blowing to the dressing sheds end which Aspley took advantage of early. We steadied and played some good footy from the 15min mark of the 1st thru to the 15min mark of the 3rd. Aspley didn't ever throw in the towel though and were kicking against the breeze in the last and despite being 5+ goals down, took it to us and got within 15pts or something like that before we kicked away again. Wasn't an overly impressive last qrt by the Roos, some blokes needed a run still (1st match for year) and hopefully will be better for it.
Aspley will be very competitive assuming they have a reasonable list to pick from. Like Kedron in 2014 they have a few army boys now who will be in and out as the season progresses - makes it tough I reckon with this situation, esp if they are some of your better players. Their reserves were spanked so maybe not alot there?
They have a crack, played a good brand of footy and will be well coached. Reckon they will battle hard for a position at finals time with a few others. Was a good day at Graham Rd for the Roos with all 3 teams winning - good lead up for our 1st home game, ANZAC day at Fish rd vs Noosa...

They don't but imo reckon a good marketing idea for ALL clubs would be to have a team list with numbers available for the punters to have with them. Wouldn't be too difficult I would have thought - players numbers are basically the same all year.

Good game of footy at Fish rd - Maroochy just couldn't convert their chances but the Tigers did a real good job pressuring the ball carrier. They seemed to get their goals alot easier with some real good ball movement. They hung in with a really depleted side in the last qrt and Roos had their chances but not to be. Great for coast footy the whole day though and game played on a respectful day with a great deal of respect for each club. Maroochy club put on a good show case.

didnt they only beat noosa 4 goals or thereabouts?? prob noosa the only team to give them a run for their money
It'll be interesting to see how Maroochydore go against them. From the scoreline they should have beaten Noosa on Sat. 25 scoring shots to 14.

Aspley were missing a number of their stars due to army duties, reckon Mayne would of still won but by not as much as they did on weekend
