I think I got a kickass team going on here.
No GAJ or Rocky with Ablett looking like he might not be ready for rd1 and Rocky being less than impressive in the NAB challenge. Both will be upgrade targets when they are fully fit and start pumping out big scores (and go down in price a bit which they most certainly will)

A few things im not sure about are:

Clancy Pearce: Awkwardly priced but hopefully he keeps up his good form and makes me some chedda (plan to upgrade him early)
Lauchie Neale: Will he pick up where he left off last season? (has been good in NAB challenge tho)
Bellchambers: We will find out in a few days. Really hope he gets off coz I don't want Leuenberger in my squad
Dane Swan: Is he over the Hill? I guess even if he does do worse than last year he will still be a more than adequate F6 so he's a keeper!

Nice team!

DEF: Slightly weak but not terrible. If you have a little bit left over I would try to upgrade Clancee to Ibbotson/Lumumba, but that's just my preference.
MID: Very strong! I have the same M1-4, love the Wines pick, feel he'll will go massive and average 105. Would want only one of Neale/Scooter, downgrade the other and maybe upgrade Clancee.
RUC: Very good.
FWD: Like it. Bont could work out. Try and upgrade Sicily to McCarthy, I doubt Sicily would play before round 5

How much cash do you have?

I'm really liking this team.

Let me discuss some of my POD's
Suckling - Averaged 82 when not injured, coming back from a reco and having very little pre-season. Also, a very fast starter. Locked and loaded for me!
Wines - Another fast starter. Averaged 115 in his first 4 games and 100 in his first 17 not dropping under 85 or something. All he needs to do his build up his tank to be able dominate the full season and add a little bit of improvement in his 3rd year and he will average 105 IMO
Lycett - Averaged 88 when Eagles played 2 ruckmen and 91 when that second ruckmen was Nic Nat. Coming into his fifth year, the year most ruckmen break out, but it is a bit of a placeholder as premium ruckmen scoring's generally vary greatly from year to year
Zorko - Averaged 88 including a 14 and a 59 which were both injury/illness affected. Also scored a 43 in the wet against Fremantle when Brisbane were absolutely bullied in the wet and had countless other low scores due to the tag. Won't get tagged anymore with Christensen and Beams over at Brisbane and Rich back from injury, yet appears to still be playing midfield according to the NAB Challenge. Scored 79 in 73%, 93 in 81% (shortened game) and 73 in 75% (shortened game) and I think he can go to the next level. 95-100+ IMO.

Thoughts? I have 8k left

Oxley seems (by admission of the Pie supporters) to be quite far from a game) Other than that, very nice. Would have touk miller somewhere in there mate.
I'm no champ at this game but it may help. Good luck!

Hmmm..... I thought Oxley war fairly close to a game. I guess we'll find out on Thursday. Miller is too expensive in Fantasy IMO. Lock for RDT though. Thanks for answering :)

How quickly will the Essendon top ups be added to the system?
Has anyone been keeping track of who is good?
Do we have any information on price? I assume the ones who played last year will be priced at such.
The ones who have never played afl will be 120k
And the ones who played two years ago will be priced at their average with a 50% discount or something?

Thoughts on my team, Pretty happy with the team.

B: Newnes - Suckling - Lumumba - Kolodjashnij - Goodes - Saad (Oxley - McIntosh)
C: Rockliff - Sidebottom - Treloar - Parker - J.Steven - Rich - Newton - Cripps (Ellis-Yolmen - Vandenberg)
R: Goldstein - Leuenberger (Phillips - Holmes)
F: Bartel - Martin - Gray - Bennell - Honeychurch - Clark (Lambert - McCarthy)

With 42k Left

Have to say, don't know a lot about him, unlikely midfield but definately backman. Should see a bit of the ball then!
Yeah, he's a half-back flanker with a beautiful kick. Only problem from what I know is that he is fairly slow, but that shouldn't affect his DT scores too much if he is playing in the back-half. And, yeah, he should get plenty of ball back there, there should be a lot of intercept marks in that game

Help! $80k left, I am mainly concerned about everything but my rookies and forward line are my biggest concern......

Hibberd and Bellchambers in for me as well.

I've been thinking a lot about the selections of Rockliff and Ablett over the last few days and I think I might even end up starting with both of them. Rocky will come down in price, no doubt about that. I think he will realistically average between 120-125 this year with those other midfield additions. The thing is, if come the point in around 6 weeks time when Rocky is down to say 630k and you've got Newton who is sitting at 330k, that's 300k you've still got to find for the upgrade. That's realistically 2-3 trades to make to get that extra cash.

Same with Ablett. If you take out that 67 against the Pies, he averaged 123 last year. Take out the game against Freo where he was tagged by Crowley and the game against the Dogs where he had the elbow problem, he averaged 130. He probably will end up starting the year a bit slower which is why I'm a bit unsure on his selection. In the past he hasn't missed a beat coming back from soft tissue injuries. He is as fit as ever but whether on not that shoulder is 100% is my concern.

I just can't figure out what the best thing to do is.

i don't really like the sound of rockliff playing forward again now... never been a consistent scorer in that role i have just taken him out for ablett taken out maric for bellchambers parker is now out for beams think he will score better and franklin is now in playing his favourite team round 1

Surely you still play Rocky in the midfield though. All preseason he has still been playing there and we know how good he is when he is there. Attending same number of centre bounces as Beams is a positive sign for me.

I'm still not 100% certain whether I will start with him.

yeah true i kind of still want to but can't find the cash now so i will just hope that he scores less

This is actually quite similar to my team.

Backs - I have the exact same backline right now, so I can't really give you anything there apart from a well done.

Mids - Pretty standard midfield. We've obviously discussed Rocky and Ablett and the jury is still out on those 2. Lewis and Beams are great picks and will probably end up in my team. Selwood has been in and out of my team all preseason. I'd almost lean towards Parker here, but Selwood will be a good unique. I've worried myself out of Griffen in the last few days. He will still cop the number 1 tag each week and there are a lot of ball winners around him. His tackling should boost his scores up though. Rookies are all fine.

Rucks - Don't mind the Goldstein pick. I think Mummy for a bit more is better value but Goldy should be around the mark.

Forwards - Pretty much the same as mine but you've got Buddy in there. I actually like the pick personally. I won't do it myself, but he should do well.

Thoughts on my newest team?
No Swan? Also, if you're gonna throw a R4 spot, you might as well make it Mason Cox for the DPP.
I think I read somewhere that Vandenberg was injured for Round 1, so might want to check that out.
Aside from that, looks pretty good.
