Nah i dont kniw for sure I just swear i read a couple of articles last year saying they were canning it and going to 4 bench players and 80 rotations
Abletts price never dropped more than $9000 in the first 9 rounds last year.
The cheapest time to get him wasn't until rnd 13 and even then you saved yourself a measly $40000 and missed out on who knows how many points.
I remember someone on DTalk writing an article claiming the price drop theory to be a bit of a myth.
Rockys price is a whole new level of expensive however so this may change things...

At the moment ive got franklin roughead kennedy dixon swan goddard as my 6 fwds. Ive got kennedy because he always destroys dogs and they play a lot of teams they can bully in the first 8 rounds.
Is it too many talls though? Should I drop one of buddy or rough for another mid/fwd type?

Nice team mate, I like your whole team except Karnezis. Hearing that he isn't in the best 22. I would trade Ziebell to Van Berlo and then Whitecross to Henderson and Karnezis to Jack Martin. Solid team mate
Trade Roughie to Josh Kelly or Bontempelli and Dixon to Hogan and you might get away with it.
And he is the best Midpricer defender! He's a must have.
Where did you hear that he's not best 22?
Not too keen on getting rid of Ziebell coz I like the look of him.

You could go Fyfe to Brad Crouch then Whitecross to Hugh Goddard or Edwards then Karnezis to Martin
Or just Fyfe to Crouch then Karnezis to Hogan?
Hey guys. Basically this year I'm trying a new strategy to try get some early points. I've gone with Grimes because I feel he could star this year and have a nice average. I will watch his NAB cup form though. Thoughts on the rest of the team?

I completely agree with what Fitzey had to say about the backline. However, I like the Shiel selection, at one point I had him as well but my team has changed that many times. He flew under the radar a bit last year and was very good, it'll be interesting to see what he puts up this year with Griffin around.

Not so sure about Karpany on the bench, but rookies will reveal themselves closer to the season. Solid backline, good mids, I'm liking Boekhorst, although I'd be a bit worried about the five first years getting regular game time early on, when you want the cash. Birchall and Ibbo maybe a little questionable but could work out. Good rucks and forwards, pretty good team overall IMO!
Cheers. Can you give me an idea on who good AFL Fantasy defenders are? Just a few names. Birchall keeps popping up in SC but I've got no idea how good he is in AF.

That is a nice team! I like the Adcock pick at his price. I personally overlooked Adcock and went with Jack Grimes for the moment, I will watch them all in the Lumumba also in the nab cup.
I would trade Wells to Van Berlo and then Clark to J.Martin. Clark is injured ATM, Jack Martin is setting PB's even after adding 10kg in the offseason
Wouldn't waste my time with Cloke. Hes never been a great scorer in fantasy and Mitchell is a huge risk as he hardly played last year even though he was killing it in the reserves. Don't think he is in Sydneys best 22 and might be in and out of the side a bit

Yeah have definitely been considering that change, both fairly similar prices with fairly similar past scores when not injured, thought the Clark injury was minor and he waslikely to be ready rnd 1.
Cloke had good years in 2013 and 2011 averaging over 90pts, I cant see him having a worse year this year than 2014, could be wrong but I like him at his current price.
Mitchell was barely fit last year, the week after he got 60 odd possessions in ressies he hurt his foot, we'll know closer to the season but if he is fit he plays imo.
