AA decisions have been woeful for a long time, i remember when Jono Hay was getting destroyed in 2001 and we had to constantly put Jade Rawlings on the opponent that destroyed Hay to keep them quiet, then at the end of the year who gets the AA nod? Hay.... i remember being gob-smacked, then i realised Hay had media value and Rawlings didnt and thats why Hay got the nod, the AA is kind of a joke, another reason i think the AA is a joke is when we were one of a few DOMINANT teams during 2011-2015 we hardly had any AA's another good reason for it being a joke with its panel full of nuffies imo, i hold the AA awards in low regard and anyone with any sense should too.
Their numbers would suggest that Darling has indeed gone past Kennedy, at least for now:

what the hell are you doing here?

Just reiterating a point I made earlier in the year that was berated by a few lads on here which now doesn't look so silly.

Also enjoying yet another ridiculous call by Wild Bill... He's making a fair habit of it

lol berated.

Ridiculous to call Kennedy better than Darling? Hooker is your best defender - watch to see who he goes to next Friday.

Kennedy better than Darling wasn’t the ridiculous call. You saying Darling is nowhere near AA the year he makes AA was what tickled my funny bone. Keep up the good work Bill!

This could still very much change as they are quite young but ignoring team need, this would be my order:

1: Weitering (I think he was much improved this season and a great Key Defender is a very handy thing to have)
2: Oliver (most proven player so far)
3: Dunkley (may even go higher)
4: Hopper
5: Curnow
6: Tippa (unsure if he should be this high but a very good player as it stands)
7: McKay
8: Gresham
9: Hipwood
10: Phillips (Mills and Burton are very unlucky to miss)

And Cameron winning the Coleman tickled mine. Or you just referring to part of a post?

Glad you pointed out the Coleman component of your argument because he finished equal 3rd, backing up his top 10 finish last year. Pretty close wouldn’t you say William?

It’s ok to admit you were wrong Bill.

No I wouldn't call 13 goals close. When you average 2.4 goals a game - its not close at all.

You stated he wasn’t close to AA or a Coleman. He made all AA and came 3rd in the Coleman. You’ve made another silly call Bill. Sure the tally of silly calls are getting up there but all I can suggest is own it, you’ll be ok.

Why is Weitering at 1 there’s no chance he goes at 1

I am high on his potential. I really was impressed with his development this year and I think great key position players are as important as a great mid, and also harder to come buy. Based off current performance, he wouldn't even be top 5 but it is more about what I think he can develop into, as opposed to what he has already done.

Sorry fanta but 13 goals ain't close.

I agree Weitering has shown a lot over the 2019 season, but I don't think he will ever be seen as the number one player from the draft, and I don't think Carlton expected him to be the best player from the draft, but when it is impossible to know who will flourish and who will flounder in an AFL system, the Blues took Weitering cause he was a very safe bet to be a really really good player in a position of weakness for them, who will be important in their set up for 12-15 years after he was taken

Ambrose? I guess the bombers must have drafted curtley by the sounds of things. Or Dean Ambrose from the wwe?
Paddy, who has been shutting down some of the best key forwards in the game all year. I think he's stretching that Weitering wouldn't get a game, he absolutely would as it would allow us to pay or second best key forward up there in Daniher's absence.

This post is basically a long winded version of the nuffies on Facebook who comment “Who?” on a post about a player from a team they don’t like

If you read what I said I agree he probably would
But like even if Daniher were playing he would anyway. We'd still go Weitering, Hurley and Ambrose in defence and Hooker, Daniher, Stringer forward.

I can’t see any way Smack isn’t in our best 22 right now.

Anyway the original comment I made was the fact he wouldn’t force any of Hooker, Hurley or Ambrose out of the side. Halfway through the year it was laughed at in regards to Ambrose. I think most have acknowledged how important Ambrose is now though. I never stated that I didn’t rate Weitering, I think he’ll be a more than serviceable defender for the next decade
