Have Docherty, Rich, Biclavs, Leuenberger, Bellchambers, Adams, Bontempeli, Swan & Dahlhaus on my shortlist.

Won't be bringing in any this week that's for sure.

Unlikely to bring in any of those rucks either as I feel like Goldy & Maric are still a strong scoring combo (Just a tad overpriced)

Thinking Dahlhaus is now a premo as well.

Thanks. I guess if he stays down back, he'll have to go. He only made it into people's teams in the hope he would play midfield.
Yep, if he doesn't get a run in the middle this week I'll probably let him go. Unfortunately, he did play quite well back there so it wouldn't surprise me if he stayed back

I'm interested in McGovern and Docherty and will most likely p1ss off Newnes and Lumumba for them.

Newnes won't give 5 free kicks away every week.

It's not like he lost any points for them, his score was double what it realistically should have been.

-4 for each one apparently. Exactly, he has a game style that CD loves, contested possession winner with long kicking that hits a target.

He didn't seem to get a run through the middle at all. Backline only

I'm not so sure about that. My observation was that he frequently worked hard/chased opponents and wasn't rewarded with link possessions from his team mates through the midfield. Could easily have had a couple of inside 50's and goal assists and nudged 95-100. I was encouraged by the effort as opposed to all the people (probably just watching SC scores rather than watching the game) that say he's lazy simply because he didn't tonne up. My feeling is that when he gets in the groove with his teammates at a new club (and clearly he has a much better attitude and is a confidence player) he will score much better than the Colliwobble days. Of course i'm no expert but I expect him to outscore Gov and Newnes...

Here comes the sideways Juddy train. TOOT TOOT :drunk:

Hopefully he gets another 60 this week and then 130 after he trades him. I will be refreshing the vent thread all weekend. Hold my calls juddy's just traded Newnes!

Don't get anywhere by playing it safe mate. :rainbow:

I like taking calculated risks in SC. Sometimes they pay off for me, sometimes they don't.

And when they do you will never hear me shut up about it. :thumbsu:

I wasn't saying he was being lazy. Someone just asked me where he played, and I just said he seemed to play back only. I agree though, he worked super hard and played pretty well, and will only get better.

Dogs fans is Bonts going to get tagged harder than subway underpass now that he's making headlines? Was relatively quiet while scooter was watching him but opened up bigtime later in the game ...I think he will throw up a few sub 70 games and have a few stinkers?

Any reason why Lumumba was down on his preseason scores? Less friendly SC role? Just a spud? What's his future in your crystal ball thanks?
He was being closely followed by Kolodjashnij. Unfortunately for me, I have both of them. Kolodjashnij had 25 SC points at 1/4 time and then went on Lumumba, therefore only getting 22 for the rest of the game.

Was Lumumba playing more half back than wing on the weekend?

In the NAB he was playing purely on the wing hence awesome scores.
He was playing against witches hats in glorified practice matches hence the awesome scores. Trolled.

Judd_Magic Forget the Prince. I'm more disturbed that you linked a Richard Marx clip!

LOL!

I'm an 80's and 90's guy.

For some reason that song just popped into my head when I was thinking about the mistake I've made picking the clown prince.

LOL I'm still disturbed!

Who would you choose out of Swan and Bonts mate.

I'm sure whichever one I pick will be the wrong one.
I was switching back and forth from one to the other all day Friday and ended up going with .... neither.

To answer your question. Swan seemed to back to his old role and was getting the ball at will. Only poor disposal stopped him getting a massive score and I suspect that was due to first game rustiness. Bonts managed a great score despite reportedly being tagged and is likely to go on with it.
So of the two I'd go with Swan, but I suspect the answer is really "both".

But you just want to move to the players that got the most points in R1, that's the epitome of 'playing it safe'. A calculated risk is getting Cotchin/Goddard when they are around the 400K mark and riding their season from there. That's what can get you at the top, not picking off players because they scored 130 in R1.

When they don't work we never hear you shuttup about it either

My musical mind is just as crazy as my SC trading it seems. :p

JM,

Just remember back to last year.

Libba jnr threw up a low score early & you were cursing because you picked him and were adamant you were going to trade him out straight away (I reckon you spent 3 days discussing it!).

Many on here were saying to hold off, thinking he would be a good M8 (at worst) by years end.

Ended up top 10 by total points IIRC for all players by years end.

Stick tight to your premium selections, one game doesn't make a season.

Concentrate on getting right rookies in each line (which yours look solid ATM), under-performing premo's can be sorted out later in year - either upgraded (if you haven't burnt all your trades) or become bench cover.

Looking at your team, Id be sitting tight, save those trades.

With Bartel likely to miss, just emerg loophole Lamb & Lonie for F6.
