next year he will be
Why?
I see gray and chad getting more mid time, boak getting better.
Points being spread again. Blokes a gun no doubt but I dont see him becoming sc royalty unless he gets to 30+ possies a game plus some goals

Wines is a pure on baller. Wont be rested off half forward like Wingard and Gray. Wines will 100% play more on ball than Wingard and probably Gray. And Boak is probably at his prime right now while Wines isn't, he is only 19 remember? As I said before, I believe he will explode next year and average 110+ and by this he will probably average 27-28 disposals +Why?

From memory his stats do mirror a young Joel Selwood. He'll be one to monitor for me.Why?

Young joel wasnt a premium...
And the cats won something like 95 from 105 games or something stupid.
Port won't have that win loss ratio
Selwood in his third season averaged 110.8, that's premium. Agree with you on your other points.
I would classify third year Selwood (20 years old) as a "young Selwood".In his 3rd year, where did that rank him in terms of all mids? (PS - i dont know the answer but am curious as)
FWIW i dont consider 110 premium but that could be me personally, however if he was top 12 in mids I'd say yep PREMO

He finished 8th overall with 2628 points, 6th highest midfielder.
thats premo year
Every season it seems like more and more players are averaging some monster points per game averages. When I first played this in 2008, only 8 players averaged 110+ ppg (34 > 100+ ppg, two over 120), this season, 16 averaged 110+ and 50 > 100+ ppg.
Agree completely, and I also think they have really put the emphasis on rewarding contested possessions and hard ball gets, and as you said because the game now in general is very congested which leads to a lot more stoppages and contested situations, the players imo people should be targeting (specifically in the midfield) are the contested possession monsters, Fyfe, JPK, Jelwood etc etc. Used to be disposal efficiency but I reckon contested possession count trumps DE%, look at how massively Fyfe scores from 50% to 60% DE% games. The real superstars of this game are the ones with clean disposal who also win a lot of contested ball (Ablett, Pendles).agreed completely, far easier to get possessions and due to the contested game style a heap more tackles (or so it seems to me)
^I'd consider Parker as a mid only, the bloke is a freak. Won't be long before he goes 110+.
If you count his finals series so far, he is averaging 110+ for the season.
Can't see him dislodging luke breust anytime soon. Brett Goodes dominated especially in the first half, not sure what happened to him this season for their seniors, should be a very decent price for next season if he can break back into their seniors.Having just watched the VFL GF I have to add James Sicily. It's a shame he's on Hawthorn's list because it's such a hard forward line to break into, but he really does look like a future star.
Goodes will probably be delisted. Can't see him dislodging luke breust anytime soon. Brett Goodes dominated especially in the first half, not sure what happened to him this season for their seniors, should be a very decent price for next season if he can break back into their seniors.

He did get games, he was just shit when he played. One of those blokes that's a gun at VFL but just not up to AFL standard.really??
He'd be handy acquisition at most clubs, even as back up.
Why did he not get senior games this year
You guy prob will cut Howard before Goodes Howard showed signs early on but nothing since. That Jong feller was a gun yesterday really liked his game.He did get games, he was just shit when he played. One of those blokes that's a gun at VFL but just not up to AFL standard.
I'd say Goodes and Howard will both go. Yeah Jong certainly has some potential for someone who started playing footy at 16.You guy prob will cut Howard before Goodes Howard showed signs early on but nothing since. That Jong feller was a gun yesterday really liked his game.
Was easily an AFL standard player in 2013 and actually was one of your better performers for the first half of 2013 imo. Copped an injury very early on this season and only played one other game (and was subbed off). Would play Goodes ahead of Howard and Darley, and also with Williams gone and probably Higgins, can see a half back role opening up for him again. He did get games, he was just shit when he played. One of those blokes that's a gun at VFL but just not up to AFL standard.
