people aren't going to watch the Bulldogs because nobody wants to see a side win the game with 10 goals due to the way the Bulldogs play. On the topic of Saints I'm hearing someone who is involved at an O and M Club has put their hand up to Coach

I'm hearing Dale Skinner has put his hand up, don't think he would be able to attract anybody to the club certainly not any top end talent I wouldn't have thought.

anybody else's named been chucked up?

That would be great if someone has. Any idea who it would be.

Involved down at Wodonga Raiders in the thirds and seniors
Haven't heard of him. I would assume they would be talking to people. Maybe will he something at the end of the O&M season.
Who ever gets it just needs to attract footballers. Not guys that have big ego's and want big money.

Should be a cracking few weeks ahead, still anyone's guess how the top 5 will shape up (apart from KSC of course).

This weekends games could tell us a fair bit though
Beechworth v Tallangatta - Hoppers back in winners list last week was just what they needed, could put the Bushies to the sword tomorrow I recon, T'gatta 7pts.
Rutherglen v Barnawartha - Seems the tigers have fallen away, R'glen to keep pace, they could be just outside 5 on % on Satdy night. 24pts at home
Wahgunyah v Thurgoona - Who knows which Wahgunyah side turns up, could be a danger game for Thurgoona down the river, Thurgoona 19pts.
Yackandandah v Chiltern - Trent Castles seems pretty confident of beating Chiltern tomorrow by the paper, will be watching this one with interest. Surprised he didn't mention his pending milestone, he only needs 9 majors to get there. crunch game for both teams. Chiltern by 11pts.

A couple of other games shouldn't worry the ladder too much.

Unbelievable that Barny can be 10th in a 12 team comp with 7 wins and % of 102.77
this is the most even comp I have seen in years if not ever, every team down to barny at 10th could easily be a player come finals time this weeks results will be interesting with I think about 4 maybe 5 teams in with a chance to secure one of the final spots in the 5 dependant on results I think if yack happen to sneak I think a few teams may have some sleepless nights there 2nd half of the year has been super, although I still think Kiewa is the benchmark and near unstoppable if the weather stays dry but if the heavans open up I think it can be anyones within the final 5 whomever that may turn out to be, finals footy just around the corner love this time of year!!!!

It's funny because I think Barny and Mitta are potentially the best sides outside Kiewa but are going to finish 9th and 10th because injuries and unavailability have cost them big time. I can see a few big margins in the finals of the weather stays good.

Both Barny & Mitta had the same draw as KSC, Thurgoona and Chiltern and probably the same injury toll through course of year, clearly not the best teams outside Kiewa. What is funny though is the TDFL comp is probably one of the less forgiving comps if you don't turn up you can basically lose to any side from 2nd down to 10th, KSC clearly able to win even when they are having a bad day, and should be outright favs. A great promotion for the league. Great standard of footy

Surely 5pm can't come quick enough for Wodonga Saints tomorrow. It's bad luck they play Kiewa and the margin could be 300 points.
Again well done to all their hard working volunteers. You obviously love the club. I still believe though that you should either go out to Bethanga and play in the Upper Murray or go into recess until Baranduda is ready for you. It didn't hurt Bullioh who won multiple flags when they reformed a few years ago.

No noises have been made yet so it sounds as if the Saints are happy to stick with the status quo, maybe they should go and have a look at the upper murray finals and see how they compare with the better clubs up there. Baranduda is a pipe dream from the sounds of it, but long term I can't see why a club (more likely a new one) couldn't thrive out there, Thurgoona are proof of that. Hopefully the Saints put 15 behind the ball today and keep the margin under 200.

In the scores on the app it shows Wodonga Saints not scoring at all in the seniors, reserves & fourths and only scoring 2 goals in the 3rds. Is this correct. That is amazing if it is true.

Ok I'm going to brutal here -
They can't keep going on, I don't care how hard guys work behind the scenes they need to go into administration.

Scores from the weekend

Seniors 43.22 - 0.0
Reserves 38.31 - 0.0
Thirds 29.19 - 2.2
14's 18.20 - 0.0

That's a total day of
Kiewa 128.92 - 860
Wodonga Saints 2.2 - 14

Now for them to be remotely competitive next season they have to pick up minimum of 40 players throughout those 4 grades.

They are simply a waste of time in the Tallangatta football League.
Especially with the fantastic finish & how the final 5 have ended up.
The talk isn't about how tight the comp is, but it was "how about Wodonga Saints"

To me the TDFL is the best league in the area with equally etc (my bias opinion)
But they can't have this team bringing the standard down.

On a brighter note - good luck to all teams who made finals, I bet chiltern will be worried about Rutherglen.
Will be a cracker between Thurgoona & Tallangatta.

Looking forward to getting out Sandy Creek Saturday

I agree totally. Like you I keep saying how much their volunteers need to be applauded but these scores confirm that it is for little reward. If they go into recess until Baranduda is available it will allow 80 players to filter through other dudes who are battling for numbers which is also an issue in Country Footy. When the Baranduda ground is developed it is supposed to be of a high standard so the Saints will have no worries attracting players back into the fold.

Would the existing clubs in the league vote them out? Baranduda is years away and I don't think the saints could last that long especially as the council has no money. A brand new Baranduda club does sound very appealing long term.

Congratulations Jaise Coleman for winning the Barton!!

Anyone know where we could find the team of the year, & round by round votes??
