Opinion 2015 Side vs the 2011 Side

2016 should be the best side we have had since 2006

We're not the only team that's improved since then though. I do like having a team of fighters though. If you look at sides like Port their best chance to win the flag has possibly already passed unless they reinvent themselves. Every other team in the comp worked out how to play against Hinkley's 2013/14 game plan. To win a flag you need to do more than just have a good list, but also have a side that can do more than just execute a single game plan really well. Hawthorn obviously are the model of this in terms of how their elite disposal and experience makes it difficult for other sides to control them because they play pretty much all brands of football better than everyone else.
