After my 10pm tinker, currently running with:

Brodie Smith (happy even if he doesn't make the move to the midfield - AA HBF with the 4th highest average of any defender doesn't need to be moved)

Josh Gibson (think he will be playing a lot more freely if Frawley-Lake can play 14+ H&A games together, he can still score alright playing as a KD - I'm prepared to cop the highs and lows, but am predicting more highs in 2015 with more 120's as a loose defender) - Heath Shaw the other option here, Michael Hibberd too if he escapes ASADA's wrath

Robert Murphy (think he will be the go-to guy in the Dogs defence, young pups will look to him to provide the rebound off half-back and he will play a bit more of an important role in 2015). Shannon Hurn and Michael Johnson considered here.

Trent McKenzie (think he will get more space and run with the addition of Malceski, and Harbrow will spend more time down back as GC's young mids develop - if I were a coach, I'd tag Malceski and Harbrow ahead of McKenzie) - looking at Jack Newnes as well here

Dalgleish, Saad, Hamling and Goddard D5-D8.

Thoughts?

Given everyone is struggling to find guys under 300k to fill the D5 and D6 spots which are looking pretty barren, i'm considering a bit of a left field option.

Taylor Hunt at 290k, yes I know he's a Richmond player but hear me out. He's never been a supercoach player and that's largely because he was used as a tagger by Geelong. It's been stated numerous times by Hardwick that he is going to be released from that role, playing loose in the midfield and down at half back. He's played really well in those 2 games, scoring a 70 and a 100. Would say he's pretty much locked into our round 1 side after those performances too so his JS is good compared to a lot around that price range. Wouldn't consider him any other year but a guy who is under 300k and could average 75+ doesn't sound too bad this year. Thoughts?

Thanks for the heads up. I cannot add to your post, as I don't know too much about him.

Do you guys reckon Hodge is past it SC-wise? I've been looking at him as a POD
I see upside in Hodge. He's always going to be used as Mrfixit, but I think he did it more than usual last year with injuries down back. Plus his average was skewed by his rnd 2 score against Essendon. So I see him as undervalued. First picked on my defence.

Hey Gingy, what's the low down on Dick (the player:) )??
I haven't seen any Dick to be honest, maybe ask a Swans supporter. ;)

Would have to show a bit today against Collingwood to even get a game in NAB3. Although he might not even make the final cut for todays game, wait & see if he pokes his head up. Could explode, who knows...

What are people's opinion of Bachar Houli? I've never had him in my SC side, EVER! So what I'm asking is what he's likely to produce?

Seems good value, and at the moment I've got him ahead of Newnes at D3.

Solid 85ppg player. If he has a great year, possibly 90. I'd say somewhere in between 85-90

Yeah i hadn't really considered him to be honest but could be a good alternative to clancee. Will have to give some more thought. Who's your main tagger? Would be worried that hunt may end up getting the role regardless of what Hardwick says

Ok, time to officially take your hand off Dick.

Dick was selected in the initial 29 man squad to play Collingwood in NAB2 today, but didn't make the final cut and is currently playing for the Northern Blues Vs Richmond reserves. (the other bolded players also didn't make the final team)

CFC players for @NBluesFC: Walsh, Dick, Gowers, Viojo-Rainbow, Buckley, Fields, Watson, Holman, Wood, Graham, Johnson, Armfield, Russell.

If a rookie can't get a game in the NAB no chance for Rd1. Clem & Bratworst the only 2 Carlton rookies lining up for Collingwood game. Both those guys should play Rd1, unless they spud up.

No way he gets early games. Was very surprised we drafted dick really.

Thoughts on Langdon could he be a potential mid priced POD??
He needs high possessions & intercept marks to score premo. Langdon's three 100+ scores last year were also his highest possession games last year 24, 23, 23 possies & 6, 8, 8 marks. In 6 other games where he had similar possies (20+ & 6+ marks) he scored between 70-90.

The problem being, when he has less than 20 possies, his average is less than 60ppg. I'm unsure if some of these games were lockdown roles or injured.

All depends on how he is used from week to week...still to early to tell with him IMO.

So looks like everyone will have to get their Dick out.
