He wouldnt have been any good for us any way. I know he supposedly had a great season at Collingwood but I still don't rate him that highly

Bernie didn't want to play for us at first. He had to be convinced by both Adelaide and Roos. We've been shit for a long time, no one would want to play for us when we looked like we had no hope. In those cases it's the clubs job to convince players we're worth a shot.

How funny was it though when Essendon took Heffernan back?

On Melksham, I see a player who isn't that bad tbh, he just hasn't taken the next step at Essendon. A second round pick given the draft is not strong is fine by me.

It's just evolved into one of those multi-year, board-specific jokes. Especially around any rumours.
