Agreed

Not sure we can satisfy Brisbane though given he is still contracted.
All hinges on Selwood and his possible compo. I'm hoping Freo chase Jetta - quite frankly they can have him and add him to their collection of front running squibbs* and then we can use the compo as a start for Redden.

*if we do get him I'm always happy to be proven wrong about my negative views on Eagles players.

Worst thing you can do is watch a players highlights package, anyone can look good if you take a handful of highlights over the course of a season, not saying he isn't any good, just saying I would rather made decisions based on a large sample of good and bad moments.

I agree he needs to play as that 3rd tall but he needs to drop the bulk and get his agility back. If he doesn't then he will become a liability.
Stamina (second, third, fourth effort sprints) has always been Darling's strength. I haven't seen it much this season, I think he's still carrying something that's preventing him from playing his normal game. He was very poor today, I believe the big occasion got to him.

Agree with that, it is a highlights package, but short of watching all of his 129 games its pretty much the best we've got.

What if Wce and sydney get involved in the henderson geelong trade:

Wce
Give: 17 & our third
Get: Jetta & geelongs 2nd

Sydney
Give: Jetta
Get: 21

Carlton
Give: Henderson & 21
Get: 9

Geelong
Give: 9 & 2nd rounder
Get: 17, Henderson & our third

is this equitable? anyone getting screwed?

Would be a fair trade if all things are equal, but given our ruck depth, all things aren't equal.
No part of it is fair.

Rucks are hard to find, ours is young and has shown immense promise.

Jetta is a 26yo one trick pony who has gone to water in a number of high pressure games.

That's actually pretty good.
Geelong might not like swapping their second for our third, but then again they might rate Henderson higher than I do.

The latest news on him didn't sound promising....foot injury is potentially career ending.
What did you hear GF? I heard from the club last year that he was an absolute athelete & they expect big things from him but that was before he injured himself the second time. I'm really keen to see him get a pre-season and some games into him to see what he can do.

Lol at people still wanting Bennell.

Richmond pulling out is a clear sign that he is not willing to put the yards in to clean up his of field attitude.

He is damaged goods...wait, make that broken goods.
Yup just like Dusty Martin 2 years ago... oh wait, I guess that wasn't you point.

Cavka was out for half the season in a moon boot , came back for a few games at EP and pulled up sore . Think maybe an operation might have been required but not certain ....but being a first year player they are taking it easy with Cavka , I reckon .

Club hasn't given much more then that as far as heard anyway .

Someone was saying, not sure if it was you, that his foot injury appears to be career ending. They are engaging with specialists in Europe hoping to get some answers. From that alone I would guess that he won't be available for pre-season training next month.
