Nisbett said we are looking at other experienced players to add to our side. Wonder who these players are? hopefully the likes of Parker etc..
I'm starting to warm to Jetta and Redden, would be great to sweep in and take Yarran. That could replace Hutchings, Masten and Butler and increase our squad tenfold. Get games into Duggan, Lamb, Nelson and Cavka

I know, why would you come out and say that, at least leave it to Trade Week. He is almost the missing link to a premiership. I will back the club in though, there is obviously something that the clubs know that we don't about Bennell.
No I think we all know what the club knows.

I would be happy to onforward first round comp to Sydney (Selwood) for jetta, Package Mitch Brown and second round for Redden and keep our first round.

I would then use our first and third round to Richmond for Yarran and their second round which we could then keep and use on best available KPP.

Yep I remember that. Players get far to much say these days. They either go where they are told or they get nothing.
That's pretty much how it played out between Wingard and GWS as well. He told them they could draft him but as soon as his 2 years is up he'd be heading home.

If the trade period ends with jetta and redden in, selwood and pick 17 out then that would be a reasonable result.

I say this based on the club confirming their interest in both players so they obviously see a role for them
I'm just concerned Jetta is a bit of a downhill skier, which is not what we need after the weekend.

i'm a big believer in any employment being a mutual fit. if the kid doesn't want to move location... it'd be ruder IMO to play along and then ditch after 2 years.

of course that only really works with top 10-20 talent, everyone else is probably just thankful to get on a list.

He definitely is, but all teams need their soft outside speedsters. I'm not huge on him - but always keen for the right price.

If we started next year with Lycett, McKenzie and Duggan fit and bring in Redden and Jetta we'd be laughing.

Redden and Jetta, in that order.

Agreed that Jetta has looked disinterested at times, but if the club think he'd be a good fit and we can get the most of him, he offers something that we don't have and I'll back in Simpson. Redden would be a safe bet, I always rated his game (my ex was a mad Brissie fan and I caught quite a few games through '11-'13). Quick out of the stoppage, big, loping Sheed-esque kicking skills and just about to hit his prime.

Would be very dissapointed if we lost Lycett for Jetta straight up.

I share your concerns and truth be told I'd rather we weren't after him. Fact is we are and have been for some time so we need to get used to the idea of seeing jetta in blue and gold

And we won't be getting him for a 2nd rounder

Watched quite a few Brisbane games over the last couple years. Redden's one of those guys you dont notice to much during the game because he does all the dirty work.

I don't think we will have the quality draft picks to pick up either Redden or Jetta. Looks as if we will be forced to bundle a player. Sinkers and Lycett are pretty much off the table, not for the fact that I rate them highly but purely due to necessity we only have three rucks on our list.

From the GF side i would only be comfortable trading Hutch, obviously wouldn't get much for Butler, Ellis or Rosa and the rest are required players.

With Mitch Brown, Scooter(FA) and Emac the only other's with trade value. We are in a tough spot to negotiate a fair trade. For those thinking a very late first rounder will land Jetta or Redden are dreaming.

I for one would not feel comfortable trading this years first rounder and a future second rounder to get the deal done. This unfortunately looks like the only option.

WHAT THE ........... West Coast have just lost a grand final and you are worrying about what (oldest list in the AFL) Fremantle are up to.
West Coast played 35 players on the list this year. Depth is obviously one of the clubs strengths. Doubt many clubs would have got to second spot with the injuries west coast had.
By the way, Hawthorn beat those flogs down the road last week at Domain.
West Coast beat Hawthorn two weeks prior and also beat Fremantle in the last Derby.
Suggesting Fremantle would not have been pantsed is just hyperbole.
They weren't even good enough to get their having a home ground advantage.
Like your confidence, got smashed earlier in the year and beat them in the 2nd derby.

Without a doubt, we will have a dynasty like dominance over them going forward. Totally irrelevant who they draft in.

Yep lets totally ignore the 3rd best side in the AFL!
