I personally think fringe players at successful clubs can sometimes be overrated. If a player is actually a jet, they will be getting more then 10 games in 5 seasons. See brad hill, hartung etc.

Pupolo had a pretty average season imo, if Anderson was the jet some believe surely he could have got games ahead of him or hartung?

Same thing happens with savage, I remember people thinking he could be answer to our midfield depth and I doubt he would be in our 22.

That being said, sure I'd be happy to get Anderson in. But for a first rounder no chance and can we guarantee him more game time... I don't think so either. He'd have to earn it and there's no guarantees.

That's the equivalent of two first rounders for a guy who hasn't played that much footy.

As I said on your board, his value to Hawthorn will be greater than his market value, especially considering he is contracted. I don't reckon we will be able to pony up the asking price unless Hawthorn are very lenient for some reason. If he were uncontracted, he could go for a second or third rounder.
