See ya

I'll assume you represent the masses and leave this thread

I hope you have a meaningful one sided discussion in front of the mirror
Your choice. I didn't say go, just pointed out you are free not to post here if you find our responses so tedious.

But play the victim. Collingwood modus operandi it seems

Posted my thoughts on the D&T board about the Nathan Freeman trade:

Very smart move by the Saints going after Freeman. 300k is still under the AFL average wage. They'll get a highly rated youngster in on the cheap during a lean draft year. They have cap space to burn for a couple of years, when they challenge in 2-3 years he'll either be apart of it and over it his injuries by then or moved on freeing up 300k in the process for a free agent.

I have no problem with Toxic, as being respectful and not trolling...
Either do I. He responded in a condescending manner to a post of mine. I would think I have a right to remind him where he is posting. I wasn't rude and he then sooked and played the victim.

Too bad. Go to their board and see what responses you get there

For arguments sake there's no compensation picks involved, would our first round pick #5, second round pick #24 and our third rounder #42 for Collingwood's first #7, second #26 and Nathan Freeman be a fair trade? It would equate Freeman being worth pick #28.

He looked good in that game. Kid has serious talent but lost a lot of confidence under Roos. I'd love to take the punt, he's exactly what we need as an outside mid.
If anyone could get the best out of him it'd be our Richo. I'd be keen to give him a go for sure.

What's the consensus on Lennon not signing yet? Tigers are amping up, he's played games, probably has a reasonable offer in front of him.

Makes a lot less sense than Freeman anyway.
I find this situation extremely strange. Second year player that's had a taste of senior footy wanting out. He's naturally linked to the Blues given the Tigers are after Yarran. That trade seems to easy, I doubt it occurs. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if we are sniffing around.

Let's get it back on to d&t
I'm getting carried away because this is media driven, & ego's have been hit for six..
Mainly the Collingwood FC & their supporter's.
We lost Plugger, & from memory the Pies were heavily into him.
They've just got the 2nd hottest property player available to date (Treloar) to agree to come to their club, &
their flooding the airwaves & print with their constant dribble & spitting as they attempt to string a few words together..

Back to my American Honey..

Theirs more quality player's switching to the Saints this off season, so enjoy & lap it up Saints fan's...............

How was Freeman rated on here in his draft year by some of you U18 experts
He wasn't talked about a whole lot on here because he was always going to go late top ten/early teens. Consensus was that he was the quickest, most explosive mid in the draft but not an idea size and kicking was just ok. If he made it to our second or third pick we definitely would have taken him before Dunstan/Acres, but nobody expected that to happen.

The issue I have is that it doesnt matter how good our back end might look in 3 years time, if we dont get that elite midfield it is all for naught. Carlisle has played some very good footy... ages ago and has suspension hovering. Pick 5 being traded would have to guarantee another gun mid coming in as well as Carlisle for it to be worth it. Freeman is the risky prospect that might make us but wont break us.

*edit, to add keep in mind we HAVE to draft at least 2 players + Sinclair elevation. If we pull in 3 traded players 2 more spots need to be opened up if no one is traded out. Its getting hard to cut any more at this point. One of the reasons I would rather take 5 to the draft.

I didnt really know Robbo that well, I only play 3rds so most of the senior guys I dont interact with that much, but I get the feeling the poor year the club had (both due to form and a 2014 saints level injury list that killed us from snrs to 3rds) probably influenced him to leave. I wouldnt doubt him going back to Ormond though.

I actually agree with you about mids. I want one mid then another mid then about 10 other mids. The problem I have is passing up on a player I really rate when he is at his best. It does mean losing another mid which means another poor year but if you believe what people say and they are easier to get then we can get 2 or 3 next year instead of a good one this year. make no mistake Carlisle or whoever we get in the draft wont help us next year so it will still be another ordinary year whatever choice we make. The one thing the choice must be is for the future.
