I'm a big wrap on him. Outside quick mid. Will be a winger or HFF. Was good in a poor WA side.

Just dont know where he fits. Somewhere in the 2nd round I would say
Thats what I like to hear.. Sounds like a good fit if we do end up having to downgrade pick 5.. (I hope we keep it personally)

I am the one Ryan Comey was replying to, but not snide comment from me. Too childish.
Anyway, I dont care who we deal with, which of the two new clubs, but I would be keeping the better pick to trade with. We are rebuilding, and Essendon already have pick 4. They dont need to be too greedy.

I don't think it's unreasonable for me to want to come to another board and have a healthy discussion with other supporters without getting abused. In saying this, I'm unwilling to have that discussion with you.
You say that as you select to only engage with the poster that gives you a deal you want (16+Ross) while ignoring a poster that offers 16 and change. If you are only here to engage with things you agree with (which it appears you are) then I suggest you piss off. Otherwise, feel free to stay.

I like this alot better than 19. I don't rate ross too much but I think he's had improvement over the years and there is no reason he can't continue it. With 16 I think it brings him closer to his actual value of a low-mid teens pick.

Thanks to those who didn't reply with a snide comment... Just because I support a different team and have a different opinion than you, don't give you the excuse to be a dick. It's called discussion.
Your would be doing very very well out of that deal Ross would of been one of our best but for his injury at the beginning of the season. I would expect this time next year he will be talked about like Crisp is this season.

I honesty hope we hold on to him, he's only 22 even Jobe took 3 seasons to get going

Richo has the Saints trying to play a fast low hand passing direct kicking style of footy so most of our players all have low numbers.

For the round 21 Geelong tie highest possession winners were
Steven with 26
Montagna with 23
Seb Ross with 22
Riewoldt with 22
Gilbert with 21
Savage 20
Ross's numbers would be higher if he was in a higher ball using team and he was the best of our young players

That day the Saints had 40 less possessions then Geelong and only tied because of inaccurate kicking kicking 6 more behinds then Geelong 14.13 vs 15.7

Ross is no steak knifes and honestly I hope we keep him

Only problem I have with Ross is if we draft Matho. Can we fit Armitage, Dunstan, Ross and Matho all in the same team?

I'm hoping the Freeman trade gets done quite quickly. Monday or Tuesday. But I think the Carlisle trade will take the two weeks and go right to the wire.

I hope Ameet is not waiting for the Carlisle trade to be completed before he starts negotiating for Freeman as I could see us missing out.

The Carlisle trade will be a real bitch to get over the line, especially when you hear Essendons expectations. Anyway good luck to the guys, this is their grand final.

At the end of the day, I couldn't care less about what Essendon want or get as long as we still have a top 10 pick and Carlisle.

To all Essendon supporters, this is a Stkilda thread, please be respectful, you get what you give, and you still have to remember he is OOC, and does not what to play for you.

To be honest I never knew to much about Ross, and only recently looked into him because his name had been thrown up a heap of times by Saints posters. I don't think he's a dud like other ess supporters have been saying, I see solid improvement for every year he's been in the system which is about what you ask for.. you don't expect every kid to come out and be a chris judd type.

If we do end up with him and a first (even if it's late) then I'd be happy because I see potential in him. But as you said, I can 100% see why you want to keep him.

I really hope that Rice nominates us. I don't know a lot about him other than what I've read here. Gee it's a good look for the club to have Carlisle and Freeman nominated them (albeit on good contract terms) but then a young kid nominate the club over the one he supported and where his Dad played in a flag.

If you look at the games from r19 when Ross was properly fit he is only behind Armitage, Steven, and Montagna in the mid the other high possession winners were our rebounding defenders because we sucked in most of those games

I'm also hoping the Freeman trade gets done early. I know that there's a chance it could be incorporated into the Carlisle deal somewhere but the clubs both will gain a lot of respect and a good rep if we get a trade done quickly and with value they represents middle ground.

Yeah, I guess the only reason why he's been thrown up is because he's Jobes cousin. I'm yet to see anything about him wanting to leave, though.

i agree. i think the problem will be that until the carlisle deal is done we wont know what we may or may not need to get it done.
