I think it was pretty clear that he was assuming you work at either one of those (presumably because player managers he knows frequent these venues), thus posing the question to clarify which one, exactly.
Ooo cheers mate, but the place I work at would get a hell of more sports identities in a day than both of those places would get in a week, and I think that's a safe assumption :p

Yep, off to a flyer.

This idea of keeping VfL players because another pick is no certainty to be better doesn't fit our profile. It's like a box of chocolates.

I didn't word it properly. No recruiting of older players is what I meant. I actually said there will be more delistings and I actually said there could also be plenty that go next year if they don't improve. I don't want to keep VFL type players and never said that however you cant have 6 or 7 picks in this years draft. I'm not sure any club will this year. Also I don't want to delist a player and then put him on the rookie list. People may say it worked with Schneider and whilst he did ok I'm sure in our position someone else could nearly have done as well. The problem was once he got in his form meant he nearly had to stay in.

Completely agree with you - I meant you are off to a good start. I didn't word my post well, probably sounded sarcastic.

Except whoever we picked up in the rookie draft instead of Schneids wouldn't have had anywhere near the ability to coach and mentor our young players. They would have been a 4th round rookie selection so the chances of then being even an average player are very low.

Can't wait to hit 1,000 pages with you guys today. It's been one hell of a journey, and I've only been here for the last 300 pages. We're ahead of the filth (nearing 700) but well behind the Doggies (up to page 2052).

Dogs thread started 18 months before ours, so they don't count.

I think we win the, err, um, who cares, we still win!

Well we're ahead of Dons and Pies anyway! Woo! Popped onto Dons board for a bit and a couple of posters still seem confident that they'll get pick 5 for Carlisle.... And 25 or a straight swap of Howe for Melksham. Dee's fans would be spitting chips if that happened!

Surprise!
Had a wander down to saintsational- jaxons is saying Carlisle to Carlton is a done deal.

Twoplanks here is saying the same.

Others here are saying Carlisle to the saints.

Dogs have conflicting reports. Coach doesn't want him, but supposedly dogs have interest. The whole thing stinks.

I think Carlisle has a great manager who is sweet talking all and sundry to screw the best deal for a wada risk player. I'll ask him to help with my job search.

He said that in August. A lot has changed since then.
