Are you sure?

Weren't you formulating the potential of Jared Jansens based on a 30 sec video created by crusha?

"If he can produce goals like this at senior level he would be a welcome addition! Wow that second goal with the strong stoppage work and link up play beforehand was very impressive."
http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/2015-trade-fa-discussion.1080214/page-339

P.S - For those Muppets reading this, I'm grateful by the video's created by Crusha and by no means criticizing his work. Keep up the good work crusha.
No I wasn't. Using that logic, it would be like claiming that due to the fact that a parent has shown a friend a video of their son scoring 2 goals in soccer over the weekend they have come to the conclusion that he will be the next Messi. No. They are just proud of their kid and are sharing with their friend.

I never stated that "Jansen is a gun and will be a Brownlow medalist one day just look at these 2 goals he kicked in the VFL!" I was merely sharing a video of two goals he kicked in the VFL that I thought were impressive. I wasn't making any outlandish claims and I certainly never claimed that that short highlights clip was enough to formulate his potential.

As for the accompanying comments. Do you not agree that if he could produce those types of goals at senior level he would be a welcome addition? Regardless of that it was more tongue in cheek anyway like "Oh wow that was impressive if he kicked goals like that at senior level he would walk into our best 22". No different to watching a young player in the AFL play a good game and stating "Wow if he plays like that every week he will be the next Gablett". They aren't the type of comments that you take to seriously as they are more said in jest.

Swan just confirmed that Tom Bell will announce his desire to be traded to us. Said there is one other player in the system who will do the same... time to speculate!
Let the speculation begin. A shiny new donkey to the person who brings me the name of the other player.

Jansen.

Two big mature bodies into our midfield/flanks.

One inside, one more outside. Good bit of depth recruiting if they came at a reasonable price.
Will be interesting to see how we facilitate these trades without jeopardising the need to meet the required points for Keays and Hipwood. I wonder if we can snare Jansen in the PSD.

Sorry to get all Mean Girls here, but the reason I get annoyed with posters like yourself is that you're willing to give your own opinion on a player/matter,but if someone else has a opposite opinion to said player you turn to childish name calling. I recall a few weeks ago I had a perfectly reasonable opinion on Jack Redden as a player and your response was "Shut up, you don't even know what you're talking about". Can't stand that kind of crap, totally unnecessary.
HEY! I was still heart broken that Redden requested a trade alright. I must of been at stage 2. Sorry for taking my anger out on you Milk Steak.:(

Sorry, can't take any credit here.
The "30 sec" video in question was neither created by, nor posted by, yours truly.

So what do people think Bell's worth is?

Assuming it doesn't form part of the Aish trade I'd be extremely annoyed if we gave up a top 30 pick for him.
He is definitely a difficult player to put a worth on.

TheBrownDog I remember you stating multiple times earlier in the year that you think our midfield is lacking a bigger body and you identified Bell as a player you would like to see join the club. What would you be willing to give up for him.

Congratulations TheBrownDog you just scored yourself a free, shiny donkey.

Apparently we're hopeful of getting him with a second round draft pick, if you believe one of the news stories. Considering he's under contract, I think that seems about right.
Our lowest (i.e. worst) second round pick we end up with I think. Wasn't it reported that Carlton refused to give us pick 32 instead of pick 33 for Docherty? I'd do the same if they ask for a better pick.

I would love to! How does one make their way to such an intriguing, mysterious place?

Pfft...Waldorf and Stadler...list cloggers. Played on past their prime and should have been traded much earlier. The real talent in that Muppets golden era was the Swedish Chef and Kermit. They carried the team.

And Miss Piggy was a glory seeking downhill skier. There, I said it.
Careful Q-OFFAL... could still get hit by some double trouble. :p

Yeah that sounds about right. I think he'd be a welcome addition. Will bring a good energy and enthusiasm to the side.

Carlton will be demanding pick 24 (our second pick) for him. I rather draft a quality kid, I personally would wait 12 months and until Bell is out of contract.

It seems like both teams could end up with 5 or 6 first and second round picks. Perhaps we could trade our worst and receive a pick upgrade.

If we're chasing Bell, the club likely thinks he can improve on, or at least maintain, his performances this year. If he has another good year at Carlton, his value won't be much lower than it is this year even if he's out of contract (yes I understand the PSD is available). He could also change his mind in a year's time. Our worst second round pick is likely to be around the point where the experts seem to think the quality of the draft drops.

We could end up with two end of first round compo picks. One for Leuy and one from West Coast for Reddo(Compo for Scott Selwood). Plus our own second rounder. Meaning we could have picks 19, 20 and 22.

Factoring GC's activated compensation pick (which is currently 19) and Dangerfield (assuming Adelaide don't match), that pushes our second out to 24.
