You betcha it is. Stop feeding members sh!t and run the damn club properly. How we went from being such a power house to this is beyond me. Amateur hour. Pick 39 for Leuy..........fm.
Sure. I'll just pass this along to the complaints department.

What is with you and those 4 picks!! We are majorly disadvantaging ourselves by getting rid of 17 as well as Aish. Trade him for 24 and 26 and be done. Downgrading 17 so we can pick up 32 does not make any sense!!
Actually it does - that picks us up more point values of picks, which may make it easier to pick up some of our later academy players.

How would the club get more? Obviously they put some pressure on Essendon about matching and organizing a trade. Leuey was gone. Send him into the draft, screw a guy who's given us nine years, and get less? Sound plan. Trade him for pick 41, a lesser pick?

Pick 17 will be used on the academy kids anyway. If we downgrade it, it gives us more options to trade picks 26, 27 or 32 for experienced players or take to the draft. More flexibility.

For example:
Trade Jack Redden = Pick 17 (West Coast)
Trade James Aish + Pick 17 = Pick 24 (St Kilda) + Pick 26 (Collingwood) + Pick 27 (GWS) + Pick 32 (Gold Coast)
Trade Pick 21 + Pick 75 = Levi Casboult + Tom Bell (Carlton)
Trade Pick 40 + Pick 57 = Josh Walker + Jarred Jansen (Geelong)
Trade Pick 39 = David Astbury
Trade Pick 32 = Ryan Bastinac
Pick 2 = Joshua Schache
Pick 24 + Pick 26 + Pick 27 (2217 points) = Eric Hipwood + Ben Keayes

So we are just going to threaten an bunch of stuff about matching Luey and sending Aish to the PSD, and then roll over on all fronts, we are sending shivers down the spine of other clubs, future draftees and the AFL right now.. just sitting in the room death staring everyone with our sleeves rolled up.

yes I understand there is posturing but there is also maintaining respect, of which right now I feel we have very little.
But you want us to roll over on Aish and the Drafts - you have posted the point umpteen times already and there is no way the club will send Leuey to the PSD...pointless bleating.

Good discussion over the last few pages. nice to see people have differing opinions where they can actually argue them without having other posters go straight for the personal, belittling shut downs after one reply. it's all working like it should. well done.

Told the truth hey, youth policy wasn't it, yet we are looking at Stevie J.......please. I love the club but they can stuff things royal sometimes.
Stevie J is a legend of the game , I'd look at him for 1 year... Brilliant mind who will likely be a great line coach, has won 3 flags , is a winner full stop , how is that not going to help your club???

Yes it does, gives us more points to get the academy blokes and Bell.
We now have 2, 17, 21, 39 and 42 with 3 picks later (which one will probably be used on Jansen). What happens if one of Hipwood or Keayes slides and we can pick up another decent youngster such as Oli Clayton with 21. Then use 24 or 26 from Aish for the other deals that need to get done on Bell. I feel like giving up 17 so we can get 32 to get Bell is just a bit silly. Surely if we can turn Aish into Astbury and Bell then its not so bad and manage to keep 17 and 21

Just a passionate member seeing us get stiffed again. You happy with pick 39?
Nope, quite unhappy with it actually. But I have enough emotional intelligence to not spew hate at the club when it isn't to blame.

That sounds belittling.
