I'm with you(and said the same thing 12 months ago).
He struggles with the basic skill of hand balling and is becoming even more ordinary above his head.
We also have Litherland itching for a spot.
If GWS came knocking with two picks as they did for Breust, then we'd be absolutely stupid not to look at it.
Come at me.
1) he isn't the only one struggling with basic hand balling, j Lewis especially comes to mind.
2) he has lost too much weight, and doesn't have the confidence to hit hard like he did years ago.
3) his change of direction and lateral movement is poor, a little like Frawley, just a straight line runner (possibly his knee)
And to address the overhead game, and hand balling, I think it's a massive blight on the club that individuals with glaring weaknesses show not a sceric of improvement. There is nowhere near enough individual specific skill work.
I'm going off on a tangent here, but J Lewis is one of the weakest players to set foot in the club in the weight room. And coming from certain people at the club they say it doesn't matter as he is strong on the field. Which is absolute arrogance, and totally inaccurate. He is tough and brave and will put his body on the line, but he can very rarely hold tackles and disarm opponents with ball in hand, and he can't do much to break tackles to get a handball off, he isn't strong enough. A really well schemed long term strength program could help a lot, but it's never been done to my knowledge. He won't turn into Dangerfield, but could improve a lot. It's my pet peeve the lack of individual and specific improvements. Especially with someone like Lewis who is as brave and tough as it gets.
