Again, Hill has class too, just struggling to move from fresh face to senior mover and shaker

If I Was a recruiter, Id think that Hill overcoming his problems is a damn sight easier than bennell overcoming his
He's a different player to Hill. Bennell has a more versatile and more of a complete game compared to Hill.
Hill is an offensive outside gut running wingman....thats it.
Even with Bennell's issues he still demands a first rounder.....

We are one running player short this year given Suckling has been off the pace.

Bennell would be a great addition for another reason, besides the obvious that he is a great player. His presence would take pressure off Hill and Smith who get tagged almost every week these days. With Bennell and Hartung alternating with Hill and Smith, good luck stopping that.

He isn't just a running player though.....he's also a genuine mid rather than our lot which are purely wingman, impacts the clearances, ability to play just as well on the inside than he does outside, as a flanker has the goal sense that isn't even a blimp on the radar compared to our lot....He's a genuine freak.

Bennell with his head right and embracing our club systems and culture - he could be anything. This highlight package is just the goals he's kicking - not just the touches he's getting in the midfield. A damaging, quick, tall midfielder who can score a freak goal. Yeah, I'll take him for our first rounder any day of the week:

Hartung has re-signed

BOOM! Smithy and Billy boy on the books for two more years. Looking good lads!

On another note, Bennell is a freak. Getting someone like him at discount is a bargain, despite his issues. I'd back our system and club culture to weed out these issues (lots of good senior lads to guide him, unlike the Suns).

His talent is amazing and upside is crazy. He has an elite tank, incredibly quick, very good decision making, utility across the ground (can play inside, outside and forward) AND he has 80 games under his belt, which means he has gone past the 50 game barrier that tends to welcome inconsistent performances.

If we got him, its a big steal. People comparing him to Garlett forget one crucial point. There is no doubt that Bennell wants to play elite football and has the work ethic. Garlett could not even get to that point, and from that perspective, there is a world of difference. One has hunger, the other does not.

1) he isn't the only one struggling with basic hand balling, j Lewis especially comes to mind.

2) he has lost too much weight, and doesn't have the confidence to hit hard like he did years ago.

3) his change of direction and lateral movement is poor, a little like Frawley, just a straight line runner (possibly his knee)

And to address the overhead game, and hand balling, I think it's a massive blight on the club that individuals with glaring weaknesses show not a sceric of improvement. There is nowhere near enough individual specific skill work.

I'm going off on a tangent here, but J Lewis is one of the weakest players to set foot in the club in the weight room. And coming from certain people at the club they say it doesn't matter as he is strong on the field. Which is absolute arrogance, and totally inaccurate. He is tough and brave and will put his body on the line, but he can very rarely hold tackles and disarm opponents with ball in hand, and he can't do much to break tackles to get a handball off, he isn't strong enough. A really well schemed long term strength program could help a lot, but it's never been done to my knowledge. He won't turn into Dangerfield, but could improve a lot. It's my pet peeve the lack of individual and specific improvements. Especially with someone like Lewis who is as brave and tough as it gets.

Probably one of your best ever posts but you lost a bit of cred when you said Lewis is as brave and tough as it gets... He is not brave or tough, Will Langford is brave and tough not Jordan Lewis, it's just a shame Will doesn't have Jordan's skill set.

I find Lewis arrogant and self absorbed, he plods along on the field from contest to contest and forever giving clumsy free kicks away. He gets plenty of the footy but does nothing with it, he gets pushed around easily and is the first to look for free kicks. He may be injured, he may be struggling but now is the time to lead.

Good lord would he be wasted under Lyon's game plan.
"So you're an explosive goal kicking offensive midfielder eh? Well I don't know what most of that means, but I think, with a bit of luck given you've already been caught with drugs, we can mould you into the next Ryan Crowley! The kids can call you Ry Ju!"

Is it compulsory to have lots of different accounts?

I only have one.

Is it what all the cool kids are doing these days? Am i missing out?

What's the go? You write a paragraph, then get all of your alias accounts to like the post? Is that it? Sounds great.
The more I read here, the more I think so many have multiple accounts.
Posters quoting others with quotes that were not directed at them at all

I know it's hard to police, near impossible, which is a shame

His mum doesn't want him back in WA , is worried he will fall back in with the wrong crowd .
Worst move possible.......if this is the case and he thinks he can stay on the straight and narrow with friends and other influences.....then right now he's probably wired as we speak.

Is the info correct about Bennells dad bashing someone with a hammer and going back into the clink?

His mum may be wise in wanting him away from Perth.
Wasn't that Yarran's ol' man? Beating someone in jail?

And by the way, sorry mate, been flat out, will respond to your message soon. Apologies for appearing rude.
