The stench on the GC is getting worse. There will surely be a few blokes up there wanting to get out.

Make some calls Wrighty.
Or a few being asked to leave! I say tread warily on those with baggage.
Perhaps one of the guys without any baggage might say enough is enough and I want out of here though so who knows.

I am prepared to welcome O'Meara, Prestia and/or Swallow to the club with open arms.

You just never know in this day and age Brishawk...anything is possible at any time now.
Whether it be captains walking out on their club mid contract, 19 year olds being traded for $1m a year on potential alone, James Frawley and Lance Franklin attracting the same free agency compensation for whatever reason (I'm still baffled), rules being changed mid season (how will Joel Selwood go this week do we think? Any bets on frees for and against?).

Never say never any more particularly with our great club involved!

Not too keen on players who booze up on game day eve and then can't get a kick until after half time or don't last 1 min into the game. ;)
Funny you say that, Charlie Dixon reminds me of Tom Hawkins before his break out period. Showing glimpses but are these glimpses his ceiling or can he deliver more than what we are seeing? Remembering he has had his share of injuries, are they behind him or will this be a legacy of his career?

I might be being harsh but they guy can't stay on the field and is very inconsistent on it. Does it belie a substandard commitment to preparation or is he just immature and unlucky?

Swallow, Wines? Or players who swallow wines before game day...???? (sorry.....)

We need a player named Swirl.
Then we can have a starting midfield of Swirl, Swallow, Wines.

But they wouldn't be fit to drive home after the game ...

Prestia! Get me Prestia!
Dion Prestia is contracted until 2016. With Hodge, Mitchell and Burgoyne all signed until the end of next year, we will have plenty of salary cap room to potentially chase 1-2 decent players and if we can land a player like Prestia that would be massive. He's exactly the type of player we need going forward.

Hey Brishawk, keen to hear your thoughts on Leuenberger. Restricted free agent, out of favour at the Lions, has struggled with injury last few years but had decent form back in 10/11. Any upside ? and would he offer the team something that Big Boy and Cegs can't (post Hale)?

Not playing his best footy but that is largely due to frequent injury. I don't know that his injury issues are going to change though unless he gets very lucky. Top 3 ruckman when fit and firing. IF we could get him right he would be a star. Much better all around player than McEvoy. Can mark up forward but more a first string ruckman. He and Ceglar would be a difficult pair to contain. I expect Leuy to be traded in off season but I doubt we will offer up what the Lions are after. We could get him as a RFA however we won't offer more than the lions as they will want to extract a first round pick and unless we are cutting McEvoy then we are over exposed to high priced ruckman (I assume Ceglar will need a pay rise next contract).

I wasn't aware how much trouble he has had with his knees. A real shame given the talent.

It also makes you wonder whether the club would take the risk after everything that happened with Big Max.
