What do people think about Yarran? clearly lost interest at the blues. Not even reached 80% of his talent in that team. Imagine slotting him into HB Flank at the hawks. Crickey. Imagine having Burger, Sizz and Yarran rotating through the middle.

I'd be prepared to take a chance on him assuming he does not have a terminal case of **** head.

We will need to finish the season better than we started it to grab a star. We can hardly promise 'premierships' while fading to 7th or 8th.
For Hawthorn, Premierships are business as usual. Imagine going to Richmond with the promise so success where they haven't won a premiership in a generation.

How's his defensive pressure? If he's going to play in the back line then he needs to be able to defend and pressure rather than just be an attacking weapon otherwise we'll just have another Suckling situation.

Am not sure on Yarran.

Is he a bit of a Clinton Young Matt Suckling 2.0 and we'll be squawking that he didn't go when it was his turn, not enough defensive pressure....
Yeah I really don't rate Yarran that highly. He's quick and pretty skillful. But when all the chips are down, he resorts to very lazy football. The fact he's been consistently late to training doesn't rate highly in my books.

Seem to recall Dermie referring to him hearing the footsteps of 40 bearing down on him. Not a good recommendation.

Nothing wrong with that in small doses. You need guys with an attacking mindset to compliment the defensive pressure. Suckling and Yarran play that way and I'd say their probably instructed to do so.

I've heard from a relative who is involved in the coaching department at a club that Yarran is known to be a bit of p*sshead and has had issues with it for awhile now and that his recent late to training issue was the result of the drinking issues. His professionalism is extremely poor and an issue that most clubs know about and will make it interesting at the end of the season. My guess is Carlton are nearly done with him and will want quality in return for him but most clubs know his issues and wouldn't be willing to give Carlton what they're looking for.

I know for a fact that the club my relative works at wouldn't take him unless it was peanuts. A stronger club may be able to change his work ethic on and off the field though maybe. He has the talent but lacks the right attitude atm.

I would be too if I played for the rabble that is Carlton.

Something tells me that Dale Garlett will be the last dick head Hawthorn ever recruits. All recruits will have leadership qualities in one way, shape or form which probably says we won't be interested in Yarran. On field talent isn't enough for the HFC. We will no doubt only invest in good quality people going forward.

I hope this is genuinely the case. Attitude and professionalism should be a must for any AFL player.
From what we can see, Yarran is not someone you can trust. He has been in the system long enough to show he is maturing and wants to be best he can be. I hope Hawthorn steers away if he is being shopped by Carlton

Sign Danger for a 3 year deal for $3 million ($500k/$1m/$1.5m) - then add on an extra 2 year for $100k a year down the track
or
Danger says he's going to Hawthorn for a $600k deal. Crows let it happen and we do another favourable trade with them. Think they'd know the Cheney/Lowden deal was in their favour
or
Danger says he's going to Hawthorn for $1.7million for one year. Crows know that if they match then Danger will keep staying for just one year as long as they are paying him $1.7m each year...
How do you sign Dangerfield for $100k per year?
