Could Bellchambers be an option? would give good support depth
How is this even being contemplated? He sucks. Plain outright sucks. Guy will be dropped for Giles or McKernan. I'll gladly take Big Boy and Pitt over him. At least they have some effect around the ground.

A browse of the Hawthorn player history suggests many over our history haven't got past 32-33, and we are talking cream of the cream. Crawf was a beast and barely got through the season in which he turned 34.
Hodges is about 18 months younger than Mitchell and on that basis alone I reckon he has another 2 seasons after this current one, assuming the body doesn't shut down too quick. There are signs with Sammy that his high standards are slipping. I hope I am wrong but I reckon we would be lucky to get him through next season. Burgers is potentially the one who could play another 3 as he has the speed and agility but that is a big ask as he is 32.
It is an interesting conundrum the exit strategy for some of these older Hawks. Will Lake go on next year? Hale has probably one more season? Gibbo may get 2 seasons max due to the arrival of Frawley.
Gibson has at least 3 seasons left. Looks after his body as good as anyone and plays smart. Also, plays a different role to Frawley.

*yawns* Not really sure why ppl feel the need to talk about goodes at all really (irony noted)

To be honest, I'm far more concerned about increasing the trade value of anyone we plan on trading this year.
Seems to be the best way of achieving a good trade outcome.

To that end:
V bottom 8 teams - Shoey should play forward pocket on fourth best tall, and be actively looked for.

Best case: Becomes confident and a star forward, and we keep.
Goal: kicks 4 a game and commands first round pick
Worst case: Never gets it together, gets delisted.

Hawks should seek to showcase the skills of those they don't want wherever possible, though admittedly we do have a lot of talent that needs games

Not sure if already mentioned tonight but c7 reported Jake Carlisle talking with bullies and hawks
He's the only player worth taking out of that clusterfvck of a team. Bullies already dropped a few mill on a tall forward, looking at him for the backline?

It was said bullies going a tad harder than us and looking at him for defence. If we were looking at him as a fwd it might sway him either way

Gee I wish he'd go to Carlton. He's just the kind of spud that would fit in there.

There's probably only 3 * players I'd want on board. Cale Hooker (beast), Zach Merret (cos he did a clinic at my son's training and seemed like a good bloke) and Orazio Fantasia (purely for the name). All the others are beyond redemption.
