I'd trade Bastinac for Howe.

Could be a genuine win/win, both nothing players atm, with a fair bit of natural talent, that need fresh starts and new roles to realise their potential imo.

Howe is a little different to Bastinac, he's positionless atm, still some potential though.

I want to see another year of McKenzie, there's something there and I reckon someone has lit a fire up his ass in the last 6 months.

Very confident Hartlett will be at port.
Bennell or kelly would be ideal. We seen last night we still need some polish.
Even though wells hasn't played this year, he won't be at the club next year, so can't rely on his skills/pace.

Don't have too much of a problem with this (personally not a fan of either player right now), nut judging from what Howes salary offers are and what Melbourne have reportedly been offered in the past, I can't see it being done. Howe must be an excellent 'modern' player who fits into structures or something, because from what I've seen he isn't much at all but there's been strong smoke past couple of years of very good offers for him.

Really? Retirement or fallen out? Would be a shame either way, he's stuck by us in our shit years when he had some good offers back in WA.

Kelly would absolutely be ideal and would be willing to depart with first rounder/s and a best 22 player.

I wouldn't be giving up a best 22 players for a now depth albeit talented player at GWS. Hawthorn nabbed O'Rourke for pick 19 and O'Rourke was also a #2 draft pick just like Kelly who struggled to get a game at GWS and I see Kelly in a very similar situation. We will have a pick between 14-18, that will be more than enough for GWS because they will use that to help get academy guns Hopper and Kennedy who will put Kelly further behind in the pecking order.

Just posting in the "I was wrong" thread and thought I'd backup in here and say that, looking at Dal last year's finals and Higgins and Waite in the past two weeks, I am happy to place faith in our recruiting team - if they target someone, they have good reason, and if they don't chase someone, they have good reasons for that too.

Arsenal FC,
Josh Kelly would love him but highly doubt GWS will part with him for any price. With Treloar, Mcarthy, Hampton, Bugg, Phillips and Lamb all likely exiting they will likely refuse to sell Kelly.

Don't rate him. Would he be a huge upgrade on Hansen?
Possibly, could also be an upgrade on basti as proposed a few post ago but theres mpre important holes to fill such as a classy oitside mid.

For me he is like the bag of chips when you nip down the shop for bread and milk. Nice to have but not what you set out for.

You ain't getting Kelly for a pick between 14 and 18.

Kelly is nothing like O'rourke, he will be an absolute jet.
The only comparison is that they were both picked at number 2 and that's basically all the evidence you have that they're similar.
Not only is Kelly a couple of years younger but he is smarter, stronger, more skilful and quicker than o'rourke.
It would take a 1st rounder and a quality player and GWS would still probably laugh at us.

Kelly is only 1 year younger (that's right, just 1 year). How is Kelly stronger than O'Rourke? O'Rourke is a bigger, more mature body than Kelly by a long way and I would back O'Rourke to beat Kelly in a foot race but Kelly is the more skilful. So 2/3 of your criteria, O'Rourke is the better of the 2. I am happy to wait another year on Kelly because he is contracted for next year and his value will drop significantly because he wont get a game with a midfield of Ward, Griffen, Coniglio, Hopper, Kennedy, Smith, Hoskin Eliiot and a few others.
