What i think will happen

North : Out~ Bastinac In~ Pick 26
Brisbane : Out~ Aish In~ Bastinac + Second rounder from Saints
Pies : Out~ Pick 26 + Second rounder from Saints In~ Aish

What i would like to see happen

North : Out~ Bastinac, Pick 38+40+53 In~ Pick 17
Brisbane : Out~ Aish, Pick 17 In~ Bastinac, Pick 38+40+53
Carlton : IN~ J.Aish Their new Number 1 draft pick
Collingwood : In~sweet FA Out~Many Many tears.
38+40+53 = 1127 points
17 = 1025 points

So Bastinac is worth -102 points?

Pickering!!!!

The bloke is a piece of shit who pushes for certain clubs while treating others like shit. It wouldn't be a shock to learn that he is receiving kickbacks for steering players to certain clubs.
I get the impression that you're working on the theory that if you say this enough times, people will start to believe it.

Personally, I think Pickering is an unprofessional piece of shit who holds a personal grudge against us. But I doubt that he or Collingwood would be stupid enough to have a kickback system in place.

I'd want my kid to be represented by him, he's a snake - but at least i'd know the kid would be getting the best deal for himself and his future.
Yeah well apart from the fact we've allegedly offered more coin and years yeah, Liam is on the ball this week.

Aish clearly doesn't rate himself a chance to play regular footy with us so I'd prefer we didn't break the bank for him, but if big crowds and brights lights are still his thing, some of these little campaigners should quit footy and just form pop boy bands, I'm sure Ed and Bucks will still be happy to handle their junk.

Considering he not getting a game then yes minus points for Ryan
Glad you aren't running our recruitment.

Bastinac played 17 games this year, and 25 last year. For a guy starved of opportunity and not getting a game, playing 84% of matches is more than most of our mids can claim.

You don't have to have a kickback system in place - to have a kickback system in place. :knowing look

Actually he played 68% of our matches and 0% of our finals this season.
I said 84% over the last two years, the percentage of games he has played since we recruited NDS who pushed him out of the role he was playing previously.

McDonald wasn't picked for any of the finals and if Tarrant didn't get hurt in the warm-up he wouldn't have played either, I guess we can give some picks to some other club to take him as well.

We picked the side we thought would get the job done, doesn't mean that team will be the 22 that take the field round 1.

Disagree hes a non best 22 player who taking up the salary of a best 10...time to move him and advance our assembly line of developing kids who cost us less and deserve a shot.

EDIT: Spelling
Basti could be Gibson but with skills - it's easy to say move him on, but we may be missing his peak period, some guys mature later and I think he is one of them. Plus who do we have that's like him?

I agree with what your saying he obviously has currency and I think he will honestly kick arse at Bris but we are paying too much for him to play the inside mid injury back up roll and with Anderson coming in he has more competition on the outside.

In conclusion he doesnt fit for us as we stand but hes perfect for Bris.

You do realise that whole second part of my post was tongue in cheek?
But for the record this whole points allocation for draft picks is not a definitive value.

Would North trade Bastinac and 38+40+53 for pick 17 in a draft where we may only use our first 2 on players and third on a rookie elevation?
Leaving us with picks 17, 34 and a rookie elevation pick + Jed Anderson. For essentially Bastinac, pick 15 and some late round picks we may or may not have used. Thats basically Anderson for Bastinac and dropping 2 spots in the first round. How many here would call that a win or lose?

I'm resigned to losing Basti, only because it's unreasonable to keep him given the Brisbane offer in front of him. I'd prefer to keep him but that wouldn't be the best for him. I'm sure he will be a solid player for them, and perhaps even a star.

We won't get 17 for him, so they'll pay unders. Luck of the draw. I would be stunned if we got Aish. He's off to Collingwood, no doubt.

Would be pleasantly surprised if we brought in another player in this trade period, and totally relaxed if we don't.

Not sure they are like Basti but id play Dumont or McDonald instead myself they cost less cap, have likely more upside and if we dont play them they will possibly want to leave next trade period for my opportunity.

Nil chance of getting pick 17 for Bastinac, best we can hope for is mid 20s once Aish goes to Collingwood. Fact not fiction.
Lift your game man - you're behind the times :thumbsu:

Edit - just joking, mate, your input is valued.

So we are offering aish more money and more years yet he wants to play for Collingwood . I just don't get it? It's not like where a basket case sitting at the bottom of the ladder. What could he possibly want other than playing in front of big crowds? Which of course we do come September
To not have to earn a spot to play in the midfield each week?
