Jake Carlisle story on A Current Affair hey? I assume it is either:

1. He isn't paying child support
2. He scammed an elderly person in a real estate deal
3. He is rating supermarket prices
4. He has done something considered to be "bureaucracy gone mad"
5. He is at war with his neighbours.

so why cant collingwood give them the freeman pick and this years 28?
Because, unless they've changed their tune, Brissy wanted picks for next years draft. They've already got enough this year to satisfy their academy players, especially if we throw in a couple of picks with Basti.

Interesting.

They want a second rounder for next year. The second second rounder for this year has no use to them as they are using what they already have on their academy picks.

The lions won't use a 2nd this year they have enough points to get the aca kids without it and they won't take any more from the draft. So it otherwise comes to us which is 17,28 for Basti and our 2nds, which seems good for us. However the lions want picks for academy next year.

And, wow, another trade - Hawthorn have just snapped up Jack Fitzpatrick from Melbourne for pick 94.

"Capable of playing in the ruck and as a forward, Fitzpatrick played 22 games for the Demons between 2011 and 2015, kicking 24 goals," the club's official website says.

"With the retirement of David Hale, we have been on the lookout for a tall forward-ruckman and we're happy to have secured Jack's services," Hawthorn Recruiting and List Manager Graham Wright said.
