If he doesn't get through to the semi-finals in any of the majors next year, then he is definitely cooked.
Nadal hasn't had a top 10 win all year. Says plenty.
He should retire if he is declining rapidly. Rather him retire now than bowing out very early in majors, it'd be sad to see him go out like that.

Due to his fighting spirit and extreme determination, that only Hewitt can compare with, he'll retire when he's down below rank 50.
I still think Nadal has plenty to offer, particularly during the clay court season. There's still a definite question mark over his ability to compete for slams on hard and grass surfaces nowadays though.

Yep, absolutely. It is a great Slam for multi's. You have to follow the US Hard Court season though. Won't touch the winners with a 10 foot pole though. Novak is way too short in a Slam he plays terribly at. Serena is winning the womens.

Well Makarova knows how to flop a set so good bet there, I don't touch the womens at the US Open too much...but I did take Serena 2-0 into Venus 2-0 just a small bet last night. Was fairly tired last night so I had an early night.

Keys was never winning a set, Serena played her 'bad' game last round.
Stosur should beat Pennetta, but I'm far from confident. This surface suits Sam.
Mens:
Wawrinka in 3 or 4, can see Young fluking a TB if Wawrinka goes in and out of the match. Should be a comfortable win though.
Federer in 3. Isner has zero weapons to trouble Fed. Fed eats big servers for breakfast.
Murray in 4. Anderson to servebot a set.
Gasquet in 5. This one is a real toss of the coin. Just slightly favour Gasquet on form, and form alone. However Berdych's best tennis is better. This is the match of the day for mine.
Rough bets:
Lisicki to beat Halep. (worth a flutter, if Sabine plays well she can beat Halep)
Liking it might chuck a $5 on it haha but Wawrinka really liking it there.

Federer can servebot in a TB as well he shouldn't be dropping a set against one of the biggest lugs on return.
Stosur is playing better than Pennetta but who knows with Sam.
Sabine is a risk but at $5-6 well with the punt.
