He is so under appreciated in the tennis world. The bias of the centre court crowd was pathetic. They could barely raise an applause for him.

No he wouldn't have. Novak is a much better player for starters. As a Novak fan I'm glad he was against Fed and not Murray.

Congratulations to Novak for winning his 9th grand slam! A superb player and well-deserved today despite the challenge Federer was posing before the rain delay. He desperately needed to win this to overcome his psychological demons of crumbling in big finals matches.

For the Fed, he's had a great tournament and shown glimpses of his old self throughout the last two weeks but I suspect this was his best chance of winning number 18. He's always loved playing on grass courts but I admire his persistence and ability at age 33 (close to 34). He's one of the greatest ever that I've seen and Novak isn't too far away behind him in my opinion.

I've really enjoyed Wimbledon and I'm keen for the US Open now!
