Wonder how many games Darwin/Cairns will get to host if any. Hopefully Manuka will get an Australian game...even if it's just one against an associate team.

Auckland robbed.

No chance of seeing as many regional venues this time as in 1992. The need for every game to be televised with 10000000000 cameras (plus hawkeye/hotspot) will prevent that. Berri, Mackay, Taupo, New Plymouth can forget it. Canberra, Darwin and Townsville might get one each.

Why sucked in?

Not so much sucked in, more about the AFL always demanding its way when dealing with other sports. The AFL is the schoolyard bully and its always good to see someone stand up against a bully

A qualifying tournament will be held in New Zealand to determine the other qualifiers.
At a guess; Scotland and Netherlands are possibly the most likely.

Adelaide do not host Australia, instead they get a quarter-final whereas Perth and Brisbane have only group matches.

Like in 1992, Australia will play New Zealand at Eden Park, Auckland.

All Sydney games will be at the SCG.

With five games each the MCG and SCG will be the most utilised venues, even though the SCG does not host a game until the tournament is two weeks old.

I am glad that they have all the Sydney games at SCG. Cricket should be played at proper cricket grounds and there aren't many better than SCG.
