We need a functioning forward line that delivers. I have just worked out a stat, the total number of goals from the 3 leading goal kickers in teams from the top 5 in 2014:
Hawthorn - 172 goals
Port - 137 goals
Sydney - 124 goals
Freo - 117 goals
Geelong - 113 goals

Essendon - 77 goals

Too be fair he is competing with Jay Schulz and Justin Westhoff for a position. Definately wouldn't take him though.

What to look forward to? Z Merrett, Heppell, Daniher, Carlisle
Who will improve? Z Merrett again
Who needs to go? Jetta, Steinberg
Who should we recruit? Mids with pace e.g. an 18 yo C Judd, a quick winger or two (B Hill style - G Rohan maybe?)
Coaching setup? As many of them as we can. Hird & Thompson, maybe piss Craig off cos he seems like a bit of a douche.
Fixture? We know there'll be back ups Coll, Carl & Rich. Other two maybe Port & StK. Whatever just don't waste one of our 4 MCG home games on Melbourne again. Give me Hawthorn or Geelong instead.

that pisses me off as well we have to play a home game against the demons at the MCG why cant is be the hawks or cats. those game have sold out nearly every time at Etihad. especially against the hawks & we only play them once during the season as well

fairly sure it's some sort of contract for not giving docklands finals. need to give them big drawing regular season games. sooner the corrupt money hungry carnts at AFLHQ buy that shithole, the better.

nothing wrong with etihad its a great stadium. but Essendon has out grown the stadium & play out of the MCG but that wont be happening until at least 2025
but yeah Essendon has to play so many game there that are seen as blockbuster games
