Here is a reminder of the league rules:

League Rules:

- Each team will have an extra bench position on their roster, which they can utilise when they suffer a long term injury. The injury will need to keep the player out for at least 5 games. Once the player has missed 5 games in a row, the player is eligible to be placed on the injured list and replaced by another player. Each manager will have to notify the league when they are going to utilise their extra bench position. When the player returns from injury, the manager will have to notify the league who they are dropping to get the injured player back on their roster.

- Scoring is head-to-head, as per last year.

- There will be a maximum of 50ish allowable moves for the season, depending on what Yahoo allow.

- You can trade in the trade period, throughout the draft period, as well as the regular season, though there will be late season deadline as always. Trades can be for players and picks. However trades have to be equal for the trade and draft period, otherwise teams rosters will be short. For example you cannot trade LeBron James for Pick 2 and 25, however you could do LeBron James and Pick 150 for Pick 2 and 25.

- Roster Positions: PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, C, C, Util, Util, BN, BN, BN
- Stat Cats: FG%, FT%, 3PTM, PTS, REB, AST, STL BLK, TO

Keeper rules:

Given this year we are undertaking a complete re-draft, we have the opportunity to again discuss how we want the competition to work across the next few seasons with keepers etc. Any suggestions welcome below.

In. Suggesting we change the keeper model to at the very least, five keepers every year and a three year term. Alternatively no set term and you can't keep a player for more than two seasons in a row, but you can trade them.

Cameron K mentioned that a spot may become open in this league, if it does I am keen to get involved.

Hi Guys, I don't think I can be 100% committed to fantasy this year unfortunately. So I think its best that I pull out of this and my other leagues. Been great fun going against you lads the last few years

In regards to the keeper options, I propose we have remove the hard reset every 3 years and allow people to keep a certain number of keepers every year (4 or 5). In saying that, I also propose that we limit the number of years a team can keep per player, i.e. 2 or 3 years. This would reward good drafting and promote trading to retain player value.

For example:
Year 1: Player drafts Steph Curry, KD, Boogie, Anthony Davis & Paul George (unrealistic obviously but used for example purposes)
Year 2: Player retains Steph Curry, KD, Anthony Davis and Paul George
Year 3: Player is still able to retain 5 players however is blocked from keeping Steph, KD, Davis or PG.
He/She would then be forced to assess the trade market to find somewhat similar value players or trade for pick swaps.

I believe this would reward good drafting, prevent loss of player interest due to dynasties, stimulate the trade market yet retain the keeper element.

Feel free to eviscerate the idea.

I'd be happy with a hard reset every three years, without any complicated keeper rules. We're all smart guys, and we haven't had a back-to-back champion since 2010, so I don't see a need to change the rules and protect ourselves against a 'dynasty'.

And even if somebody does nail all the late round picks in this draft and wins the next three comps, a hard reset would level the playing field at the end of those three years.

At this stage I am leaning towards going with the 5 keepers every year on a 3 year term model unless there were any serious objections?

I'm happy with five keepers over three years, also open to Dutchy's idea if it gains enough steam. Just not happy with the model we've used over the last three years.
