So Rowey talks about Brads foot beforehand and then doesn't ask Burton about it? WTF
Yes he is. When he's not intercepting. I.e. often when he's one on one
probably not allowed to.
That was me - I thought round One was 6 weeks away
Burton reckons he is on track for round 1 or 2, fantastic news
Good news all round.
Happy, happy, joy, joy.
Knight and Hampton will be in round 1.
How does a finger to the eye fracture the socket?
The upside is Sloane can still run and put in the grunt work. Should be OK.
Crouch and Lever hamstrings aren't good. Clubs hate hammies in pre-season. Sets you back big time in terms of conditioning.
He got flicked in the eye by Andre the Giant.
That's what I was wondering. Did they confirm surgery on the eye socket ??
Whilst I wouldn't say joy, in the long run getting games into these guys is going to help when we have a real crack in 2018.
We just don't have the midfield for 2017.
You jam your finger into the eyesocket, grab onto the skull and yank outwards hard.
When are the SANFL pre season games? Hopefully Jake and Brad can at the least get one of those in.
Most likely he got a finger in his eye when he got the fracture, not that he got a fracture from a finger in the eye.
In the SANFL, he won't come straight back in
Cos he's not in charge of fitness anymore
Agree, it's not ideal as Sloane won't play a JLT series game however he will have a tailored program to get him cherry ripe for round 1 and I expect him to have an impact against GWS
Yes clubs do hate hammies however in Lever's case he has had a solid pre-season and should get in one practice game before round 1
Brad Crouch is the real concern
On the bright side, it means at least one other person was going as hard at the ball as Rory was.
I am now hoping the club gives the likes of Knight and Hampton a chance to prove themselves in round one but that could depend of their performance in the trial games. Also would you say Ellis Yolmen is a lock in for round 1 or does he have to prove himself in the trial games?
That is what we want, more aggression but not over the tops where we have players getting injured or suspended.
The JLT series will give us a great look at our upcoming midfield. No Sloane. No Brad Crouch. No Thommo.
Should be... enlightening
You confident they will blitz all the pre season games against their competitors for spots
