Kornes "Word on the street" segment was "Barry" claiming Sloane's injury is worse than reported and they haven't been able to operate yet due to the swelling.

If the swelling is an issue they wouldn't have been able to assess to see how bad it is.

They're call ins most of the time I think, so he can always use the excuse that it's not him saying it.
What a cop out!

5AA regularly have crazies ringing in to gain the limelight with made up rubbish.

Next it will be making the headlines of the Tiser...

I see Tyson Lever's name listed in the staff page of the Crows website as a "Community Trainee"

If I remember the description correctly from the job posting it basically means you go with the players when they visit schools and such and have to dress up in the mascot suit too.

Would probably a better drafting decision than the last mascot we drafted.

If only they were all like this!

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport...r/news-story/c6e2566cb9f723c760b80afdbce1b4d5

CROWS defender Kyle Hartigan says he is ready to repay Adelaide’s faith in him and he would embrace a long-term future at the club when his current contract ends this season.

Hartigan is the only player from the top-10 of last year’s best-and-fairest not signed at West Lakes beyond 2017.

The 25-year-old had a coming-of-age year last season when he played 23 games and showed enough in defence to reasonably expect to attract interest from Victorian clubs trying to lure him home.

But Hartigan - drafted as a mature-age rookie from the VFL in 2012 - says home is now Adelaide and he is in no rush for that to change.

When Rutten retired we were worried about our defence. Hartigan has stepped in and supported Talia very well so our KPD isn't a concern at all.

And we got him for **** all, a rookie pick.
If we hadn't managed to get such talent with our rookie picks, our list would be well and truly screwed right now.

Was one at the beginning of last season I didn't hunk would make it, but was pleasantly surprised by his year. I think it's really important to be able to lock your key defensive posts in at the beginning of the year and we're lucky we can once again do this.

I was always pretty confident in Hartigan, I reckon he showed a bit as soon as he came in. His errors were exaggerated given his inexperience especially when we had senior players making similar mistakes.

And yet this year we passed on picks.
Option 1: how much evidence do you need that we are a good judge of late picks. If we thought there was no one there, there was no one there.

Option 2: how much evidence do you need that there are good players available at late picks. A 5 percent chance is better than a pass.

The great thing is that any evidence can fit both theories! I'm looking forward to this one going on for a while.

We can't afford to have newbies making errors because the senior players make so many already
