Bontempelli is the interesting one for mine. We all know he's developing into an absolute gun - but I don't think he's had an AA quality season.
I'm confident Doc is in the final 22, and plus I think Simmo might be named on the bench. Maybe 3rd bench?
Shaw, Enright, McGovern, Talia, Rance... I think that's the back 6 (with doc.)

You have to love the clowns at AFL.com. They have selected a player that was dropped 2 weeks ago. Stringer has been decidedly average this season. They needs to have a good hard look at how their player ratings work.Team Of The Year - DOC!

Cripps lack of selection is a testament to how awful most of our midfielders are - he gets the ball to them - generally to advantage and they then nuff nuff it to turnover city. Put Murphy on the receiving end in some space and Cripps all of a sudden looks AA - but Murphy has been injured for months now...and the receivers have been fumbling for longer. IF Cripps hit the score board more regularly or if his field kicking was more penetrating instead of loopy - then he would be much more potent in attack - yeah basically if he could make the C grade midfielders around him irrelevant then he would be AA. Sad but true.
In any decent midfield setup - most clubs would have two clean handed runners feeding off Cripps all the time - not Carlton.

Both Cripps and Lachie Neale had more contested possessions. If Cripps played for any other team would be walk up start in AA team for him not to be even in the 40 man squad is a farce. God I hope he polls really highly in the Brownlow.

Not saying it's the right decision, I think Cripps should have made top 40, but why are you just reeling off clearance stats to make your argument??!
Stats dont tell the fully story...there's no context. It should be about influence on games...you could win the clearance count by 500 but so what if most of them were rubbish clearances and you didn't do anything else well to help the team?
Not saying that's the case for Cripps, just making my point about relying on stats.
If Enright makes it over Simmo, he may go from the most underrated player ever to the most overrated in a heartbeat
I hope your right but just going by what different people in the media are putting out, I think they desperately want to put the usual names in there (Enright, Shaw) ahead of him. Browny's logic was Doc missing purely because of how bad we went in the second half of the year which just seems like shit logic to me.I have a feeling Doc will.
