Can the punishment get reduced because a Glenelg no name knocked him out with a cheap shot to the jaw?
Moore got 3 for '' demonstrating a move and no malice'' Ottens was a shove out of the way as he went after the player. Gonna be tough to argue this one.

Rucci suggesting the Magpies V Redlegs should be ANZAC Day fixture. How mentally incompetent and biased is this bloke. Yep, give it to a reserves AFL side that will treat it like a joke. Moron with a captial M
Rucci is banking on the SANFL pulling the pin on the reserves model at the end of the year and the Magpies being restored to their former glory.

No, Magpies will be dead and a Power reserves side will be in the VFL. Port, like the Crows will not take a backwards step. The SANFL have hinted that they want to go down to 8 teams which says to me both teams are gone.

I reckon the first time i actively wanted the baby crows to beat Glenelg this weekend.

I'm first and foremost a crows fan, and i like Glenelg winning too. But the improvement of the young crows developing, in particular guys like Greenwood, doedee, wigg, beech, keath, grigg is more important to me than the bays beating them.

f it was a finals game it's probably a different story, but this must be concerning if supporters are hoping their own club loses.

The only problem I see with Greenwood and Keath is that they're both 24. Don't get me wrong, I reckon they both have immense futures, but how long will those futures be? 5 years?
This has always been 1 thing that has lingered in the back of my mind with these 2.

However, if they continue on this rate of development, they could be cherry ripe for picking come the start of 2017 and provide us with some very solid depth, forming a nicely rounded squad of 26-28 or so players.

And we all know how handy good depth is throughout the season. I mean just look at those folks down the road...

To my knowledge Andy has never been suspended in the AFL, SANFL or TAC comps, can't ever remember him ever having even been fined for an indiscretion and given he had just been decked by what was basically a "coward" punch by a Bays campaigner surely the mitigating circumstances and his previous unblemished record would count for something.

The Bays "campaigner" was reported too??

A shitty compromise sure, but how about a handicap system based on how many afl listed players we have in the side. Kind of like line betting but to win the game. The alternatives seem to be a compromised competition or the sa afl teams having to play in the vfl. Probably still compromised even with that system.

Hmm ok - Thought the push was a bit more forceful than that after reading about it - Hopefully just a week - Tough on Otten but I'm comfortable with zero tolerance with touching umpires...

Never want to see it turn into a farce like soccer

(I like soccer, but hate how players remonstrate with the referees)

Sumner pleaded guilty and received 3 matches.

Otten was charged with making "intentional contact with an umpire". He has pleaded not guilty and is currently giving evidence. Now I think it can be argued strongly that it wasn't intentional contact with an umpire considering the circumstances.
