Really concerned about Shaw can someone connected get the full story.

Just what he didn't need after his body was finally holding up and playing good footy.
Agree, something is a bit wrong there. Would like the club to give us an update.

Not trolling at all. My argument is if you are going to use concussion as an excuse then where do you stop?
You just assess them on a case by case basis. Given the time line of events in this case, I would say the concussion defence is very reasonable.

We're not talking about Andy O getting hit in the first quarter then umpire contact in the fourth quarter, that would be a long bow. We are talking about a difference of seconds from when he got up until contact was made.

He knew what he was doing.

He got up and despite suffering from the effects of concussion supposedly he made a beeline straight for the bloke who had clocked him. So he had his wits about him, knew exactly what was going on.

If he was concussed (and I believe he was from all accounts) how can anyone prove his "wits" were driving his actions? He has never shown any aggression in the past that would support the charge. It was out of character. I think the 2 weeks are a kick in the guts considering 10 seconds before he "deliberately" interfered with the umpire he was sprawled out on the ground seeing stars.

Definitely worried about Sam Shaw now. He was in great form and I hoped he'd be banging on the door to replace Cheney by now.

He hasn't played for what - a month? - and there's no update on him. I would love to be very wrong but can't help feel he is in serious trouble with concussion issues.

I'm so disappointed for Shaw. Honestly believe he was on the cusp of proving the doubters wrong…I know there's a limit to how many tall players a defence can have but intercept marking and his booming, and now more accurate, left leg would be a fantastic addition to our team and perfectly suit our game plan.

Really hope he overcomes this (was it the knock sustained in the Port game that did it?) and has a fantastic AFL career. Hope he doesn't go the way of Justin Clarke. Can't believe the media hasn't asked the question.

I'm not fussed myself. In one game Keath showed more potential as a player to me than anything I've seen from Shaw.

So, is the Advertiser correct that they are airing Norwood vs Centrals on Seven this weekend? Not the top of the table, Adelaide vs South game where both teams are undefeated? Because that makes no sense.

Predetermined rather than picking out matches of interest. Distributing the matches evenly amongst all teams.
