Will be back and firing in 2014 form.
Jack Martin out of contract end of next season , in WA for Christmas and a likely target of both West Coast and Fremantle . Suns pulling out all stops to sign Martin early in the 2017 season .
Would be costly to trade in but probably worth it . First round pick plus a player at the least I would imagine .

See I've never rated him that highly. I wouldn't give up a first plus a player for an out of contract player. Plus we have Rioli now
If Fyfe leaves Freo ( unlikely ) you would think Martin would be number 1 target for Fremantle although Bennell and Martin reuniting might not be ideal for there football.
Martin will be highly sought after and a big trade for any club , he is quality plus . Not as big a trade as Hogan would have been but still a big trade name in 2017 .
Where would you see him playing for us? Who would he dislodge?
Played HB with great success in 2016 but he could play midfield / forward , would be in our best 22 .
Martin is 100% worth a first rounder so i think we should go hard for him next year.

Martin is a bloody star. Only query is over his durability. Surely pound for pound one of the strongest contested players in the comp. Absolute rake but can win more ball than most of our team.

I think that is the pertinent point there, Fremantle's default offer is almost 100% guaranteed to be positioned much more favorable via a draft pick. No doubt they would ask for 2 first rounders and or 1 and a decent player and I don't blame them. Martin is class and if we go after him will have to offer a decent package.
Suns are flying over members of Martins family early in 2017 to entice Martin to re-sign , ....could be an Omeara stand off if Martin actually wants back to WA , which is probably a pretty low chance I would imagine , sounds like the Suns are going to offer something pretty good .
