List Mgmt. 2016 AFL Draft

Let's all cross fingers for a double slide,
Taranto + SPP + Waterman = best draft in a while.
If you're going to play fantasy games, you might as well complete it by taking Waterman with our 4th pick and Ryan with our 3rd.

But you have to roll higher than a 7 to get the magic card and unlock the Dragon Den.

I like those odds

same.
The AFL it self should have 1 big academy to develop very young talent from the rugby states as well as kids in very remote areas of Australia. Every club should chip in ( financial/faccilities/staff) as well as some financial support from Sponsors and maybe even the federal government. When it comes to the draft clubs interested in a particular player should bid for that player and the player gets to select his preferred club pre draft. Schooling is the only major challenge i can currently see but maybe the AFL could go into a partnership with a few Private schools.

Academy should only be 10% discount on points. They are a serious competitive advantage and every club would be prepared to bankroll something like that.

The fact that you can package a number of lower picks to equal an early pick should be discount enough for academy picks.

Current academy system reminds me of the old "McGinnity + Bennell + Rowan Jones in exchange for O'Meara" trade suggestions we all love so much. Except academy system is not just the ramblings of delusional message board posters.

So hopefully we don't have to take Waterman with our 3rd rounder and we can take a tall with it . Taking cameron +waterman with 54 and 106 would be a massive win after using our first 2 picks on mids / forwards

Berry for me sounds exactly what we need as a mid and would be worth pick 12 .

If spp was to make it to our second I would be stoked but I feel he may go between 20-30 the same range as bolton

If Hayward was still on the board at our second I would be happy to take him . He looks a perfect lecras replacement as that medium forward that will hopefully in time play midfield minutes

Is Cameron over his off field issues?

Don't know specifics, but know that they have prevented him from being drafted the last 2-3 years.

Fremantle are keen or were at least talking to him extensively at the State Combine ...if he does have off field issues then Fremantle have drafted a few recently and look at there talent rather then there past , West Coast cannot afford this drama anymore .

Edit Not sure Cameron is the player we need .

Cameron's issues were not serious .
It was more of a maturity question which time has assisted .

new breed I disagree with you as I think he is the sort of player that we need. Cameron's game developed nicely last year and kids his size 204 cm and 104 kg that can both play as a Kpf and ruck are a rare commodity.

My mail is that he will be on an AFL list this time next month and WC are an intersted party, but we are by no means alone with interest in the Young Tiger.
Let me put it this way given all the inquiries about him that Claremont have taken from AFL Clubs they are not expecting him to be at
Claremont in 2017.

Would rather we went for a young draftee in the ND after we traded in Vardy .

Really ?!

Cameron is only 21 three years younger than Lycett.

21 is pretty young for a ruckman he still has 10 seasons left in him.

Who would you prefer we target of Cameron doesn't appeal to you ?

So true. GWS just racks up all these steak knife draft picks and turns them into gold. It's ****ing bullshit

If Cameron is a cheap pickup I have no hassles with Cameron on the list , we picked up Vardy for insurance so a Goddard would be handy .

Rookie spots are probably where Cameron will be taken which is unlikely if you reckon he is in demand , have we got the available pick to nab Cameron if we take Waterman ??
