List Mgmt. 2016 AFL Draft

Hey guys, sorry for the intrusion. I was wondering how many selections you guys have to make on Friday night, based on list spots, etc. I'm doing a phantom draft and need this info.

For example North has to make 4 selections because we have 4 primary list spots open. Appreciate the help!

Use that. Picks are only shown for available list spots for each club

It's also easier than posting on every clubs board asking how many list spots they have

I'm ok with Logue, he's a big guy though, will he make the transition into the middle?

I think he could, even if he played off the wing. Rotate Logue and Darling off a wing resting in a pocket would pose problems for any defense.

Kennedy, resting ruck Lycett / Vardy in 2017 and Darling / Logue rotating / resting deep.

Would men we could play an additional midfielder as well.

Sounds like a Brad Sheppard situation, trying to move Logue to a wing. Hes strong athletic and aggressive, but I doubt he ever becomes a mid, which is fine. Hell be an outstanding FB, anything else is really speculative.

You got me, I'm actually Bruce McAvaney.
I joined BF years ago with the hope I'd find Cyril, sweet talk him and see if we could get our delicious on.

Truth be told - I'm just an infantile family man in his late 30's who never really grew up. ( see Keyser Soze isn't the only old fart on here )
I still like dick, It's what I do for kicks now my sporting/partying days are over.

Interesting to note that Quigley's write up of Gallucci talks about him being explosive and even comparing his movement away from stoppages to that of Judd or Dangerfield.

Personally I think he could become an outside leaning version of Shuey (without the elite footskills and contested ability). With his pace he definitely has a point of difference. He's also the same height as Shuey for those concerned that he is some sort of midget.

Personally he's firming as my first preference for our pick barring an unexpected slider, and I think we will take him.
I wouldn't mind galluchi at 12 he is not vanilla like people on this board suggest .
His outside game is decent with his burst of speed, leap and marking ability .
We don't many mids with marking ability and if he could develop his inside game he would be a great addition to our young mid brigade

My issue with that is that we seem to have trouble developing the inside game of mids if they aren't already inside players

I could definitely see someone like Scrimshaw sliding to our pick given there seems to be a few bolters.

Cue Dark Sharks melts when we don't draft him
I hope we don't draft scrimshaw, would rather galluci if we don't take spp

Have you seen him snap that goal from outside the ground deep in the pocket.

If a player can do that you don't play him at fullback.

He is a late starter in the AFL and so they played him in defense as a kid. He's not a one trick pony who is good at defending with some rebound hurt factor. He will be much more than that. At worst he ends up an intercept / attacking half back and a very good one.

A mid range result is he becomes a Hunter who can play back but swing forward to take a big mark and kick goals.

At best he becomes that big midfielder we need. Nothing wrong with him playing off a wing either, remember Koutoufides.

Has anyone looked at where our pick 89 and 94 might end up after academy picks? Based on assumptions on when bids might be of course.
Gold coast with 95&96 are the only clubs with picks after 94 so the academy picks aren't going to have any bearing on our 89&94

If anything those picks will push up a little if other clubs choose not to use their last pick

For what it's worth Quayle has Gallucci, Berry and SPP all ranked around the same 19, 20, 21 in her latest article.

Urgency, desire, determination, warrior, would do anything for his team and to win, competitive, whole-hearted....sums up why I want us to draft him

Sure all of that comes with a lack of poise at times but if we're serious about addressing our limpdick finals effort then those are attributes we need in our side.

He's exactly what we need.

I don't care if we reach for him.

Personnally if they can't run like Ash Smith I don't want them
I don't want us to recruit anybody described as 'great young men' this year.

Let's just get a bunch of hard c***s with win-at-all-cost mentalities.
