See my post below # 300 as I have outlined where I see Lamb being developed.

I certainly haven't and look forward to Tommy having a big preseason and making an impact at EP and therefore putting pressure on the match Committee to include him in the Seniors.
Pressure to hold your spot in the Seniors that comes from the up and comers at the level below is what generates list development.
Internal squad pressure is always a good thing.

Pair him with Mitchell and make him midfield

On a serious note, he needs to be played as a hff that pushes into the wing and middle.nearly every wafl game I have seen him play, he gets played as a kpf. He is more of a Tom lynch(adel). Play him as hff/ wingmen and I think the results will change. If he can find consistent form as hff/wingmen then he will make the ideal replacement for lecras. It could also mean that we can carry one less genuine wingmen and play another balanced mid.

Also mc and coaches need to be willing to drop him into the reserves for poor attitude and lack of intent.

You don't kick 3-4 goals in a game on several occasions if your a shit footballer and have no talent.

IMO opinion Lamb has concentration issues and the best way to address this is to play him as a defender. Take care of your man and win the one on one duels and then back your talent to take the game on and run off your man.
Then the automatic re set as a defender back on to your man.
As a defender your constantly engaged in the task at hand and the concentration part come a lot easier .
At Lambs size and his athletic ability he can defend both talls and smalls so there are plenty of opportunities to find match ups for him defending in a game. Hell with his elite tank he could also play negating run with roles.

He has talent be he needs better development and tutelage .

That's Simpsons challenge , it's what he is paid to oversee.

I've seen plenty of crabs kick bags of 3 or 4 to be honest. I just don't see enough football ability in him to get too excited, he has a good tank yes but his contested work and his skills leave a lot to be desired tbh. Seems like an athletic front runner to me honestly. But each to their own.

The problem is East Perth have no key forwards. Last year Hill was playing as a key forward. Allen is too young. McInnes is there sometimes but is hopeless. It forces them to put Lamb there.

I'm beginning to think SPP is exactly what we need. Rojo was that type of bash and crash player and was huge for us back in the day with Cuz and Judd

Zac had a really good carnival - especially the Vic Country and Allies games. He showed great separation from stoppages and roved very well to a dominant Goddard. I can see this transferring to AFL and see him roving to NN. He is skinny as but still goes in and a line breaker from stoppage. I see him as a small forward that would take his turn in the midfield. Could be ideal for us at the feet of Kennedy as well as relief for Shuey providing the pace at contest. I commented to Monocle on the day that he was clean and decisive in the game (got multi ticks on my running sheet) and high efficiency from high disposals. Would be happy with him at our second assuming we take a hard inside mid with our first and not Bolton. He played league for Perth this year with the usual gap for PSA commitments. Despite his light frame, he still managed to get enough of the ball and impact the game.

In terms of where I see him going, probably the 25 to 50 mark so holding pick pick 34 is about right.

Height: 184
Weight: 83
DOB: 31/8/98

Player Traits: Jack Ziebell, Luke Parker
Position: Midfield/Forward

Bio: Brad is a Gold Coast academy player but they may not match an early bid to not go into points deficit but either way he is a quality player and should play senior footy early. He is a contested midfielder who can go forward.

Brad is a contested beast who is strong over the ball and very good overhead he crashes and bashes and works hard to win the footy(Jack Ziebell). He is a ball magnet he knows how to win the ball on the inside and the outside he works hard to space to link up for marks and will work hard on the inside to lay a tackle and throw his weight around.

He is a threat forward with his overhead marking and a knack for finding the goals in most situations(Luke Parker). He is powerful on the lead and his strong hands and ability to earn a high free kick gives him many shots at goal when rested forward.

He has decent skills but he isn't very damaging by foot and hand, he knows how to win a lot of the footy and pick the right option however. His speed apart from his initial burst isn't great his speed in general is only average.

Brad is a hard worker and the perfect modern day inside midfielder with the ability to do damage up forward and work hard in the middle.

I know some rate him higher than Bowes. I don't, I find it hard to translate this type of play to seniors as physical prowess at lower levels is never easy to project onto AFL level. For every Ziebell there's a Cunnington (or Koby Stevens). Not a bad pick by all means, but SPP may be better(?). Very strong (man amongst boys), good vision and decent hand ball, good mark and tackler. Kicking action is awkward and not particularly agile.

Who else thinks ye club might not pick up a mid with our first rounder? According to crazy voz we are just going best available. This for real or just not wanting to give too much away? They probably think we should draft 2 rucks and a KPD right?

Vozzo is not crazy & the club has indicated several times that the midfield needs addressing

SPP > Taranto IMO.

While Taranto probably holds the upper hand in terms of kicking, SPP has the best goal accuracy of this draft and better clean hands that would suit our midfield better.

SPP has some very good attributes, he's not really close to a stud like Taranto. I think Jed Lamb won the goal kicking test a few years ago - these tests should really only be looked at to tick boxes on what's seen on tape.

Weedon over Duncan wasn't the issue. If you look at Weedon's talents, they were very good, especially for his size. Plus he was a HFF come mid, Clontarf graduate (of which WCE are big supporters). Bloke just couldn't get his mind out of the back seat of his car... we were always going to pick him! The real issue was picking Stevens over Duncan. Duncan had gone from a top 10 pick the year before to way lower, and his skills hadn't deteriorated. As stated previously, I still believe it was the pianic that set in after the players we'd targeted (Fyfe and Bastinac) were picked at 20 and 21 in quick succession. Then we panicked, used 22 on Weedon to buy time and then picked Stevens.

Well, the tests at the combine are the easiest way to determine how good a prospect is, and I'd rather not go through individual games to find out who has the best goal accuracy.

I'm just a massive fan of how SPP goes about things, and as I said before, while Taranto is an excellent talent with massive upside, SPP, as a player, is exactly what we lack in the middle.

Thats the exact reason that SPP is better than Taranto (at least in terms of our list). We have enough composed, good kicking mids (sheed, Duggan). What we are missing is the powerful and explosive mid. Dangerfields kicking skills aren't all that great, but when you emerge from the centre and immediately get in inside 50 before the opposition can react it can be damaging. Can you imagine SPP bursting out of a pack, handballing off to shuey who hits Jk on the chest. Taranto might be a gun but we need a SPP type player imo.
