The goal scoring perfection by SPP says a lot about him to hold his focus and concentration to nail every kick on goal with all the recruiting scouts watching expecting to see the dodgy kicking waver under pressure ..[/QUOTE]

More his decision making, can bust through a pack and gather the footy but then kick a nice looking drop punt to the middle of nowhere

I guess the thing with that type of player is that it's not so much an issue if they can do the busting through packs in the first place. Half the battle is winning the ball.

When they are an outside player with suspect decision making, that's when the flags go up

Agree with this. Danger frequently bursts through a stoppage before shanking the kick, but noone mind.

A tough inside mid who get plenty of the ball and not dissimilar to Mundy but with leadership. Here are a couple of BF write ups. There are varying views of Berry. He was AA U18 as an underager in 2015 and had some injuries this year. He finished off the year well and blisted the combine. I think he is a really worthwhile bet at 12 and I would take him before The Shaker and before Bolton. That said - I would go Fisher with our second if we get Berry.

Mundy doesn't have leadership qualities..............but he's Freo's captain!

Actually.....o_O carry on.:D

I wanted rainbow with our 2nd. His dash and penetrating kick off half back certainly 'looked' appealing at the time.

He must have sucked something bad in the VFL though for carlton to ditch him after only 2 seasons. (Ave 14 touches from 18 games in 2016)

Despite the fact it's just us being true to form by recruiting a spud from another club to our rookie list, i wouldn't baulk at the idea of rookieing DVR.

If he's soft not interested. The modern game is a contested game with lots of players around the ball. We have too many soft players already.

Still a better option that Clem Smith

He is a lot taller but has played midfield and KPD. I could see him as a defensive winger

Would rather Taranto if he is still there at 12 but I think Logue will be there at our pick and Taranto wont be

So given what was said about us not looking at mids necessarily, will the melts be unbearable when we pick Logue at 12?

don't mind logue at 92kgs he is already a beast and could play straight away
My melt would be English who probably wouldn't play afl for 3+ years
I don't think you'll get the chance as I am reasonably confident Sydney will choose Logue at 9. After the academy matched bids that pick will actually be 11.

Over everyone what? SPS is arguably the most talented player in the draft. Needs more strength and endurance, but he's a special talent. You'd want him in the side getting exposure.
Ok there obviously wasn't much talk about him because we never really looked like getting him but I guess with all the academy clubs picking earlier than us its thrown a little spanner in the works. I'm not a big junior footy watcher but who does he play like and what type of player is he.

Knightmare likens him to Daniel Wells.

i wouldn't be too mad with the english selection but we would need to get a few good mids from the rest of that draft. Ideally we should have looked to get two more second rounder during the trade period. Lycetts contract is up at the end of 2018 and he is on decent coin. we could have English develop at wafl for a couple of years and then look to trade lycett (free some space up) and have english walk in. I genuinly feel that both Adelaide teams will be keen for lycett with both their ruckmen aging.

There was lots of discussion about him with our second - many people on here wanted him

You think the Lamb pick was bad!?
Nope I was hoping rainbow would slide to the third round but I'm pretty happy with nelson :)

Originally I was thinking we could take lamb with our first so I was super happy he slide to our second. And ye I'm still fine with the lamb pick.... Never said I wasn't...
