Every draft year there's players that are rated highly that don't succeed and some that have us scratching our heads as to why they weren't taken earlier as they become very good or even superstars
Powell-Pepper will be in the second group. My non-expert opinion is that we will genuinely regret overlooking him with our pick 12 should it transpire that way
Heard this morning from a Mate with Carlton connections similar and that its will be done shortly.
Needless to say I was not impressed one iota with that shit news.
I was just about to rant when he reminded me not to shoot the messenger.
I wouldn't call a decent run of games 'proving himself'Don't really get that comparison at all, Weedon didn't make it due to lack of talent/production and Ryan has already proven himself at that level.
Look beyond that, he's got talent that far outweights anything that Duncan, I mean Weedon, showed.I wouldn't call a decent run of games 'proving himself'
Yeah, there's also the 10.1 beep, which would have got him a B+ for PE in Year 9, but sadly is not so revered in 20 year old professional athlete.Look beyond that, he's got talent that far outweights anything that Duncan, I mean Weedon, showed.
Whether he has the application is the question.
I want you to select Powell-Pepper purely so he can be nicknamed the bald eagle.
I was about to comment then realised you represent St Blunders and need I say anything else?I want you to select Powell-Pepper purely so he can be nicknamed the bald eagle.

Thing is he only started at wafl level this year, not even sure if he did a pre season with them.Yeah, there's also the 10.1 beep, which would have got him a B+ for PE in Year 9, but sadly is not so revered in 20 year old professional athlete.

Geez harsh response to an innocuous post haha
You've got Simpkin quite high interestingly. Very skilled, but very up and down season due to injury. Don't mind him either.Assuming we get the 11th best non-academy player (which is almost certain), my order of preference of the top ranked players is:
1. McLuggage
2. McGrath
3. Taranto
4. Ainsworth
5. Scrimshaw
6. Brodie
7. SPS
8. Simpkin
9. SPP
10. Berry
11. Logue
12. Venables
13. Florent
14. Galluci
15. Marshall
16. Hayward
17. English
