About $7k a year and if you're drafting someone you only expect to last a year then you might as well not bother
It also gives you a chance to regroup. Draft night is pretty intense & now with it being ao fluid its unbelievable.

will be gone early in the rookie draft i assume.
Dam, they got him cheap. He is now at Adelaide . If no one picked him in the main draft crows got first dibs as a rookie . We could have done that with waterman by the look of it .

He is also slow as.priddisThe biggest knock on Jonty is his kicking efficiency.
Can't help but think that went against him tonight

Naitanui was also picked on potential - how did that work out?

Could we? I'm not sure as we promised to take him. Adelaide didnt.
I was wondering if we could have overlooked him and taken in rookie draft.
Next year is a prime tall draft will stock on them i assumeDepends if the next draft is strong it gives us some more flexibility to have a rookie over a draftee.
We had a fair bit of time between the Rioli and Waterman picks not to mention the last month or so of preparation - we effectively have gone from picks 1 and 13 in the rookie draft to 12 and 30.It also gives you a chance to regroup. we nominated jake and we had to pick him . We thought someone would bid on him .Could we? I'm not sure as we promised to take him. Adelaide didnt.

I concede you know more about how these things operate than me but I don't see the logic
It also points to us probably wanting to take Petrie still which is a nonsense
That blemish aside I think we've done pretty well with the picks we had, so for that I think the recruiters get a tick overall
McGovern was recruited as the last spot on our listEh honestly we are talking about the last spot on the main list. 1 year of Petrie backup then replacing him in a draft which is rumoured to be tall focused isn't the worst idea.
We probably are not even going to get an average player in round 6.
