SA have produced a few blokes who are very good inside but terrible with disposal recently... Bampton if i recall...Wasn't his best games for disposal but he has shown he can hit targets just fine and performed well in the kicking and handball test at the combine.
Rioli was a bit of a suprise selection but impressed that the club drafted a small forward and liked that he is a little bit older as these type of players can be a real bust as 18 year olds.
Sam Walker is a jet of a kick and even he didn't get drafted.SA have produced a few blokes who are very good inside but terrible with disposal recently... Bampton if i recall...
SPP has two working feet at the moment though, bit of a risk with Venables after the bad luck with had with foot injuries the last few years.Venables was obviously best available as judged by the club with the attributes required. SPP seemed fairly similar in style so disposal and marking abilty probably counted against him.
Rotham was a bit of a slider due to consistency issues but his 1st Quarter in the all stars game showed the talent he has.

Waterman was a bit of a steal as the last player selected. didn't test that well in the combine so hope he really applies himself at the level required to succeed
No one seems to know the exact injury but he finished this season in a moonboot with some sort of foot issue. What is wrong with his feet?
He broke his Fibula last year. So at least the foot injury this year isn't related etcNo one seems to know the exact injury but he finished this season in a moonboot with some sort of foot issue.
Quote from him - "and I don’t even know what happened with my foot, I was just warming up and then I couldn’t walk. It’s annoying and it’s hard to explain because it’s all uncontrollable.”
He was in the moonboot to end this year with his foot as well, so that's two years in a row he's spent a significant part of the year in one. Concerning that all his injuries are leg related. He broke his Fibula last year. So at least the foot injury this year isn't related etc
He also had hip surgery last year![]()

It is a bit worrying because of what happened with Cavka. Everyone can go on about backing in our medical staff to get him right but sometimes these things are out of anyone's control. I mean Fremantle's medical staff were probably 100% confident they could get Bennell's calf right too.Couldn't walk.
Ohh dear that doesn't sound good. Risk vs reward I suppose.
Sounds like Chris "his shoulders are stuffed" Judd. Expect brownlow medals and premierships as well...He was in the moonboot to end this year with his foot as well, so that's two years in a row he's spent a significant part of the year in one. Concerning that all his injuries are leg related.
High risk pick, but if it pays off we'll have a very good player on our hands.
I'm ok with thatSounds like Chris "his shoulders are stuffed" Judd. Expect brownlow medals and premierships as well...
